I periodicly check on Spotify and yes as of 2021 it's still not on Spotify still cruisin has been out of print for over 20 years the only way to get it is a second hand CD copy I found one at a car boot sale it's crazy it's been out of print so long
I love that the opening credits to Troop Beverly Hills not only feature this amazing song, but also show off the animation styles of the same group that made Ren and Stimpy
Wanted to share a quick story about this song. I remember listening to this as a little girl and picking it as my theme song. Every time I would doubt myself, I would sing parts of the song to myself for motivation. Years later, I'm living my dream and on my way to making it big 😊 I drove across the country to move to California, building a life with the man of my dreams, and becoming everything I ever wanted to be plus more. It's just such a magical feeling coming back to this song 25 years later after hearing it for the first time and still feeling that same feeling. Follow your dreams, friends. You can make it big if you want to ❤
Troop Beverly Hills!!! Watched it today with my young sons. I remember watching it late nights back when ABC used to give movies after Nightline. This song would play at the end credits and wishing it was the 80's again. Being 31 now gotta say wish I could remember more of that decade.
Man, 39 years old and hearing this for the first time in decades brought tears to my eyes. One of the very few good memories I have of my foster dad that raised me.
I was doing my random youtube viewing.. just watched somebody who ded of cancer.. so i'm like ahh fuck... then i went to my youtube play list and i lciked on this.. and now i got tears rolling down... 'm 38... grew up on the beachboys because of my dad. Saturdays were the best.. He used to clean the house and blast the beach boys among others.. Ugh..i miss him.
This is a childhood song of going down to cornwall on holiday driving down the country lanes with on full, windows down, sun blazin and then you get me and my grandad singing are heads off soo many happy memories 😁😁😁😁🎶🎶🎶🎶 just makes me smile every time i listen to it! It will never get old no matter the year YOU CAN MAKE IT BIG!!!!
This was one of the first CDs I owned (I was a little behind the times) I was living in California and had an hour's drive down the coast to Santa Barbara for work. I would roll my windows down, crank this up, and fly down the coast
You know, I've noticed some differences between this song and the animated intro for "Troop Beverly Hills". One of the differences is that the line, "Baby, you're a superstar, looking like you're going far.", is a few octaves higher and has drumbeats, while the line in the animated intro goes like this: "Baby, you're a superstar. I believe you're going far." It's a few octaves lower and has something rhythmic clapping and cymbal beats. But still, they're both awesome to look at or listen to. :)
I wasn't around for any of the 1900s, but I find the quantity of quality songs that were pumped out during that century, and how greater that amount was in comparison to this current millennium, makes me kinda wish that I hadn't missed out.
Beach Boys are one of those few groups that could adapt to the changes in music from decade to decade and still be great. Their 80s music is just as good as the works of the 60s
Yeah 101Restoration its kind of a stretch to compare the ultimate success of their 60s work to the lackluster 80s where they only scored one or two hits on the charts
Musicians: Mike Love - Lead and Backing Vocals Al Jardine - Lead and Backing Vocals, Acoustic Guitar Carl Wilson - Lead and Backing Vocals, Acoustic Guitar Bruce Johnston - Backing Vocals, Keyboards Brian Wilson - Lead and Backing Vocals, Keyboards
When I was 6yrs old and my sister 7yrs. We moved from Michigan rual farmland to California. Stayed with our Aunt, Uncle and cousins. In Palisade, She told us to be very quiet. 2 men just came back from Europe tour. We were at her pool when they came outside. Carl taught my sister how to dive and Brian taught me how to swim, The original Beach Boys. Yet we had never heard their music. They were so nice to us, because we socialize them as normal people.
I wish the Beach Boys would own this in their catalog --- MAN - my first BB album when I was 5/6 and then they ditch it like it never happened. Their 80's renaissance.
Nice to see people of different generations being hooked into The Beach Boys music family must say they could release release another album with the origanl members even if they can't tour it. I know the money is in the touring these days but given their status surely a 60th Anniversary album would be good seeing as the number of them who are still touring. Would be happy for a new album with Brain , Mike, Al, Bruce, Dave, even Blondie and Ricky all making an appearance but that maybe asking a bit much as you would have to add the likes of Matt Jardine to the vocals. Not forgetting to add material of Dennis's and Carl's to the final album. Would suggest Heaven by Carl and as for Dennis the uplifting Rainbow. Looks as if it was have to be a double album.

Nefler, what the hell is happening here? This is supposed to be a camp out, not a pajama party. Is this what you call roughing it?

Watching this movie is making me miss the 80's bigtime!

I was born in 97 and I LOVE this!!!
One of the many amazing choruses from the 80s. If this hasnt been sampled yet id be amazed.
Couldn't find this on Tidal, but so happy I found it here. Troop Beverly Hills was one of my favorite movies as a kid. And still is a favorite.
This is so nostalgic for me troop Beverly Hills is one of my fave movies!

I’m four years late but even thinking of doing that sounds like a great day lol
Damn, Carl Wilson's voice was just something to behold......
One of my favourite films and my favourite band!
I forgot just how 80's this is.. I almost grew a mullet in the time it takes the song to play!
My hair spontaneously permed itself.
You can make that mullet bigger than life. Bigger than MacGuyver's.
carl has an indescribable voice
so bright and clean
just beautiful
it's really sad that it's gone
R.I.P CARL 🥀
you wonderful person!!!!!

The main singer in this song is Carl Wilson's. He had such a great voice.
Check out both of his solo albums. They're great!!
carl was underrated and unappreciated
He was so amazing
I remember this song was the opening to Troop Beverly Hills back in 1990. 😃 Such a cute little girls movie.
I really like this song. Carl's voice is out of this world.
Theee best ever
Music like this doesn't exist anymore and self confidence in our current generation is at a all time low.
This song is garbage
one bathroom for nine girls that's roughing it
Must have been the squirrel meat
@MonkeeJuice Which was directed by Velda's actress Betty Thomas.
Well, Lincoln Loud and his sisters from The Loud House have the same problem.
I wasn't around for any of the 1900s, but I find the quantity of quality songs that were pumped out during that century, and how greater that amount was in comparison to this current millennium, makes me kinda wish that I hadn't missed out.
Never knew they sang this!!!!! Love this song from Troop Beverly Hills.
Troop Beverly Hills!! 👌👏 nostalgia I use to watch that movie on repeat when I was a kid every week
Such positive lyrics
This song inspires me.
make it big 1986, beach boys with cousin mike love's sax and rip carl and dennis
This song is so underrated. It's not even on iTunes o.O
The album that this song is from is actually out of print. Hence, why it's not on iTunes. :-(
Joshua Waddy I think it is now.
Joshua Waddy Its not easy to come by for sure! I stumbled across a copy by dumb luck at a car boot sale!
Nope still not...Aghhhh
CD is still on Amazon. Price isn't too bad.
This song is so positive and optimistic, I can't help but like it - it sounds a little different to the version used in troop Beverly Hills though
That's because this is the actual version. The movie version was edited.
One of beach boys's best songs
you know what really frosts my cookies?!
bethany2781 I can tell you what frosts mine...This song on the cd isn’t in print anymore. And, the digital is non-existent.

101Restoration do you smoke crack?
That might be the most ridiculous statement I have ever seen in RUclips comments...and there is a LOT of competition there.
@@BlueEyes-gp8lg What is so ridiculous about it? Are you saying that their music from the 80s has no artistic value or merit?
I agree. I love all of their music from each decade! It’s all perfection.
Yeah 101Restoration its kind of a stretch to compare the ultimate success of their 60s work to the lackluster 80s where they only scored one or two hits on the charts

Its epic! Love the Beach Boys! and the awesome synth-laden eighties production!

Soundtrack to beach trips growin' up. Still cruisin (now living by the beach in Florida)
This is my favorite song of all time especially when The Beach Boys sings it’s like magic
Talk about staying power. This song came out almost 30 years after The Beach Boys hit the music scene and 30 years later we’re still rocking out to it
When I was 6yrs old and my sister 7yrs. We moved from Michigan rual farmland to California. Stayed with our Aunt, Uncle and cousins. What a great song Thank you so much Beach Boys it's almost 2020 ( new year ) and you guys still Rock😎🎶🎶🎵🎵
I swear...Im 14 yet this is my jam 😂😂
Buford Montgomery i don’t listen to her anyways, but she has a more different, unique modern style. of course it wouldn’t be your preference.
19 now. Still your jam?

Troop Beverly Hills: The movie that defines classic B.H. materialism.
I may be old and I may be senile. The only thing that's bagged around here is you. You're fired.
