Extremely glad Daniel has continued the legacy of the best Finnish melodic death metal even after bodom after midnight and Alexi's passing (RIP) An extremely nice guy to meet in person and i wish nothing but the best for him and his health to deliver our niche melodic death metal poison!
I cannot help but feel that Daniel is continuing the legacy of what he did on Bodom After Midnight. I would imagine that Alexi would want him to continue making epic music.
Absolutely love this band and this is absolutely scorching stuff!
And I love that Daniel rocks and ESP Original Series Arrow in Black Andromeda. I have that every same guitar.

@@DeadlyFahrtwind This is basically Naildown coming back with their last lineup, but with a different singer. This song (and I guess the whole album actually) were supposed to be on the 3rd Naildown record. For example the drums you hear on this video were recorded exactly 12 years ago :)

Holy shit. Great tune, modern and proggy af, and those vocals are wild, love it when a singer can do cleans and growls and screams and everything in between, a rarity and require ridiculous talent/skill.

You should check MyGrain, Tommy's main band, it's probably the closest you will find to Scar Symmetry + Soilwork

I dig it a lot and I'm glad it was worth the hype and waiting. Great songwriting, some creative drumming (I love the cymbal chokes at 03:31!) and of course Daniel's trademark melodic guitar licks. And Tommy's vocals fit very well, I'm glad it's not another COB clone with black metal vocals and folk metal melodies, but instead they went for this Strapping Young Lad/Mnemic vibe. This band stands out, very promising!
The crash section sounds good because it’s accompanying a fast double bass run and it also looks cool because he’s choking each one with the same stick hand that he hits them with.
Edit : Drummer has chops.
There are elements of all 4 bands plus some Townsend vibes. But alexi will remain one of the most talented metal heads to live. Cant wait to hear the rest they brought us. I'm hoping for a killer cob tribute song.
I know they name-dropped him in press release, but DT/SYL is about the only thing I'm not hearing, except maybe a touch of Soliwork's Natural Born Chaos which he produced. Curious if/how it'll show itself going forward...
@@npinjest7779 the vocals are heavily influenced by Devin, like the part where he sings "Kill me if you CARE" (03:00) and again in a different way, more screamed (03:43) and some other high-pitched screams, it reminds me of vocals in SYL 'City'.

Heavy synth + vocals drowned in fx sections remind me of Raunchy so much, love it.
It's funny cuz 15 years ago I discovered Ranchy from RUclips suggestions after listening to MyGrain, which happens to be Tommy's band :D
