Help me VidIQ I have videos which has a duration longer than 1 minute but its still not adding up to my watch hours. My watch hours keeps increasing and decreasing meanwhile, i don't delete my videos.
Up and down with 44 subscribers currently. Over a year now. I expected to reach 100 within the first 3-6months, but I love what I do. I enjoy creating videos and have lots in store for future content, and for my channel, that it excites me. This is part of my passion, and I love it!💯
Man I've been working hard then coming home and feeding and bathing my kids, homework, etc. The around 10pm start on a video, finish around 4am then have to be up 2 hours later to get kids up and to school then off to work again. It's been so difficult. But I just finally passed 900 and it's climbing. Thanks so much VidIQ!
Yes! Keep it going and doing what you love. If you are not seeing the results you want, start with changing one aspect. Whether posting snippets on social media to promote your channel, or diving in by asking what your audience wants. You are growing so keep going!

A lot of them will say holy crap you still upload I thought you died lol This channel has been shadow banned at this point and it's been impossible to revive ;(

You guys listen to the community a lot, so please listen to not just me, but many others. Lower the threshold for shorts views for monetization OR count the 4000 hours of view time for shorts. Getting 4000 hours of watch time with shorts OR long form content is incredibly hard, but the 10 million shorts views is rewarding people for trying to make something viral vs. posting consistent content... hopefully you all will consider something different and add a bit to the shorts model. Currently I’ve been making videos for about 1 and a half months now , 1-2 videos per day, and I am currently at 51 subscribers! So I’m guessing maybe in another 2 months from now I will hit 100 subscribers!!

Haven't finished the video yet but you asked for comments so here goes! I just started RUclips on Sept 14, 2022. Tomorrow will be 6 weeks in and I've taken everything I've ever learned about RUclips and applied. With a few months of prep time before we launched, the channel is currently at 312 subscribers and has close to 10k hours of watch time. I'm sure by 'normal standards' this is awesome and amazing growth. But like you said, don't compare myself to others, just my own data. I'm generally looking at how I can increase subscriber count to begin matching my watch time so that we can hit the monetization milestone. It has been over a year now of RUclips on this channel for me and I have not made a lot of success, I have made around 4 videos in the span of 24 hours and if anything I have only lost subs, it is just so hard to grow on RUclips these days 😔
I took 7 years to break 100 subs. I started the channel just to post stuff, not really to make money. But this year I really started trying to grow the channel and went from 20 to 100 subs in about 2 months. Heck, I gained 30 subs and broke through 100 in just one stream (Splatoon stream when servers were done, tons of people looking for content). Some of it is good timing and intentionality
that girl in you videos is very sterile, she talks like a robot, and your content does not look good. you should develop an eye for what is looking good, sounding good, or not, no matter the content quality.
At this current moment, I have 97 subscribers. It feels good but it came slowly. about a year. I kind of started in one niche and I haven't completely switched out of it, but it definitely has pivoted. I've been doing what I want has a artistic type video maker. My time on RUclips making videos in general which I have had the fortune of making some other videos for people. I've learned a ridiculous amount. More than I have since I was in school. Reason why I'm binge watching your content? "you asked"? Quarter of the way through.... It's because I'm trying to become more strategic and give people what they want. figure out exactly what kind of content I Want to make. Both in the ways of quality and how long that can take and quantity and how often to post. Along with trying to figure out how to grow faster and implement some strategies. plus be more consistent with my content. I post pretty regularly, but sometimes it's not very niched down. Anyway I find value in your videos. Trying to brainwash myself in the background while I make things. lol thanks good stuff.

Bro no exageration, growing on social media nowdays is quite literal slavery.. every year it gets harder. Your growth is not in your control bc you're always at the mercy of the algorithm deeming your content good or not no matter how hard you work at it or how consistent you are and I never used to blame the algorightm smh. I have done everything right for the past 4 years, late nights - early mornings, engaging with my audience giving them the best content I can provide, have even driven lots of ad traffic. I dont want a gazillion subs or views I just want to grow at the same level I work at.. I dont even want it to be easy, I just want it to W O R K.

Some great points here. The show I do deals with extremism and with some of the new RUclips rules, I have to plug in plus 18 for anything that I do. I'm at the point to where I want to go take my content to Odyssey or other video platforms because RUclips doesn't seem to be too into helping creators that deal with more complicated topics I like sticking to the stuff that I'm doing. And I feel that they have been regulated the type of material I do into the shadow realms (material on extremism. Qanon, election deniers. Like the worst of the worst).
I just hit my 100 subscriber mark and couldnt be happier. I gain the most subscribers right after I post a video but I have a much larger gap between posts due to the nature of my videos. I've tried to dabble in making content in the same niche but slightly different but it doesnt seem to be as popular with my viewers.
I posted my first video on this channel and then moved on to gaming content on my gaming channel, and I just started this month, my gaming channel uploaded a video a week ago and it got 18k views... it went viral... and it gained 80% of my gaming channel's subscribers

Note that I have 450 videos on this channel and every single one has positive subscribers in the last 28 days, yet my total fell 4,600.

We recently started a Kids Channel, I have tried to take into account lots of tips from you and May was kind of the break-out month! Thanks! I hope it keeps going the same way. I would love if you could do a video about "Made for Kids" content and how to monetize, gain subscribers and build a community without the comment section, end screens etc.

I just started RUclips on Sept 14, 2022. Tomorrow will be 6 weeks in and I've taken everything I've ever learned about RUclips and applied. With a few months of prep time before we launched, the channel is currently at 312 subscribers and has close to 10k hours of watch time. I'm sure by 'normal standards' this is awesome and amazing growth. But like you said, don't compare myself to others, just my own data. I'm generally looking at how I can increase subscriber count to begin matching my watch time so that we can hit the monetization milestone. Would love some insight/advice on how to accelerate that goal. 🙏

I'm the exact opposite. I need 2k watchhours and 300 subs in 3 MONTHS
I put out a video every day for a game and I usually get 1-4 views, and I'm fluctuating between 70-80 subscribers, I've been doing this for a few months. Gonna try to implement some of these tips and give it a good shot

Had the account since 2008 started it as automotive content only took it more seriously (editing, Muti camera views and a purpose direction) last year I’m now of this post 74 subscribers and 18 public watched hours

It has been over a year now of RUclips on this channel for me and I have not made a lot of success, I have made around 4 videos in the span of 24 hours and if anything I have only lost subs, it is just so hard to grow on RUclips these days 😔

I took 7 years to break 100 subs. I started the channel just to post stuff, not really to make money. But this year I really started trying to grow the channel and went from 20 to 100 subs in about 2 months. Heck, I gained 30 subs and broke through 100 in just one stream (Splatoon stream when servers were done, tons of people looking for content). Some of it is good timing and intentionality

that girl in you videos is very sterile, she talks like a robot, and your content does not look good. you should develop an eye for what is looking good, sounding good, or not, no matter the content quality.

At this current moment, I have 97 subscribers. It feels good but it came slowly. about a year. I kind of started in one niche and I haven't completely switched out of it, but it definitely has pivoted. I've been doing what I want has a artistic type video maker. My time on RUclips making videos in general which I have had the fortune of making some other videos for people. I've learned a ridiculous amount. More than I have since I was in school. Reason why I'm binge watching your content? "you asked"? Quarter of the way through.... It's because I'm trying to become more strategic and give people what they want. figure out exactly what kind of content I Want to make. Both in the ways of quality and how long that can take and quantity and how often to post. Along with trying to figure out how to grow faster and implement some strategies. plus be more consistent with my content. I post pretty regularly, but sometimes it's not very niched down. Anyway I find value in your videos. Trying to brainwash myself in the background while I make things. lol thanks good stuff.

I know that my videos aren’t the best they can be, and to be honest I’m mostly focusing on thumbnails design for now. Bro no exageration, growing on social media nowdays is quite literal slavery.. every year it gets harder. Your growth is not in your control bc you're always at the mercy of the algorithm deeming your content good or not no matter how hard you work at it or how consistent you are and I never used to blame the algorightm smh. I have done everything right for the past 4 years, late nights - early mornings, engaging with my audience giving them the best content I can provide, have even driven lots of ad traffic. I dont want a gazillion subs or views I just want to grow at the same level I work at.. I dont even want it to be easy, I just want it to W O R K.

I saw your section on those unsubscribing from channels and honestly I call shenanigans. I have subscribers saying they are being removed BY RUclips multiple times. I typically get 10 to 15k new subs a month and still fall negative each month. This channel has been active since 2013 and has close to 1 billion organic views. This started with the major changes in June/July 2020. It is clearly created by RUclips, not organic subscribers

The show I do deals with extremism and with some of the new RUclips rules, I have to plug in plus 18 for anything that I do.
I'm at the point to where I want to go take my content to Odyssey or other video platforms because RUclips doesn't seem to be too into helping creators that deal with more complicated topics
I like sticking to the stuff that I'm doing. And I feel that they have been regulated the type of material I do into the shadow realms (material on extremism. Qanon, election deniers. Like the worst of the worst).

I just hit my 100 subscriber mark and couldnt be happier. I gain the most subscribers right after I post a video but I have a much larger gap between posts due to the nature of my videos. I've tried to dabble in making content in the same niche but slightly different but it doesnt seem to be as popular with my viewers.

I posted my first video on this channel and then moved on to gaming content on my gaming channel, and I just started this month, my gaming channel uploaded a video a week ago and it got 18k views... it went viral... and it gained 80% of my gaming channel's subscribers
