1990 ABA Grands 17 & Over Expert Main: Eddie Cerone, Dave Cullinan, Chris Sanchez, Bryan Reust, Chris Ham, Ray Luscombe, Robby Morales and David Millham
This was my very first grands at 8 years of age, and at that time I was stunned by the design and how fast it was. I remember crashing off that huge roller coming out of the first turn. Thanks for posting
You're welcome. I will be going back to the Grands this year to film more. It will be mostly the veteran/pros that I know from travels when my son Nigel raced in the 80s/90s for GT-Auburn.
1:42 OMG that is racing right there. No clips, power off the downside of the step up on dirt and shale. That Robinson rider was unlucky to not get by there too. These were the best years for racing without doubt!!!
Robbie Morales .. wow! My good friend raced against him several times in the mid to late 80s At this point in time i remember watching this entire race with my uncle on a local affiliate channel in NYc on new years eve 1990 .. two years prior i just stopped racing and my uncle had no clue of what BMX Racing was .. Lol 😆..
As soon as I seen Milham was in gate 1 I knew who had this shit... You see what's present here that's missing today is the "MX" part, it's all in the name.

@@TNTlivemusic that’s awesome can’t wait. I was suppose to go to the grands last November but scheduling kept me from going.

Oh man I wish they built BMX tracks like this nowadays, wow what a great track layout
This was during the ABA years, when track building was done like this at lot of national races. They were the best!
Cull'nan the destroyer. My childhood hero. My favorite Bmx Action test rider.
Now that's Racing!!!
Track looked waaay longer here than in the 2021 grands
There were a lot of straights but they were really short
Imagine trying to run 956 motos on a track that took 70 seconds per lap, lol
Awesome track though in 90’
Yes, this was when the ABA ran 1 of the 2 the leagues (ABA and NBL). The ABA tracks were the best at all the nationals back in the 80s/90s era.
Damn good gate!! Frank "HOLLYWOOD " Balazs

Is very interesting

Hey Tina, thanks for posting! But looking at your channel it seems strange that you posted it! Did you or your kids race?
Yes, my son raced for GT Bicycles on the Auburn Factory Team.
@@TNTlivemusic wow, thanks for the insight! It's great you did the such a fantastic job with the videos. Thanks again for sharing!
Let The Rad Days Roll...
Ooooooohhhhhh
Hmmm, doesn't look like a BMX track to me.
Let's go back to the 70s.
