I will pretty much never understand why the guests would just go out of their way just to eat a tiny scrawny child like six, I mean they have all the meat cheese and wine they could ever want, why would they just go crazy over trying to eat one small child, one of them most likely fall their death
Its a very common and likely theory that the meat they are eating are actually the guests before them, nobody ever leaves the Maw and the guests surely know this, they KNOW they are going to die and they are fine with it. So they eat and eat and eat to enjoy there last moments in this world. When fresher meat comes around they give into there greed and desperately chase it down in hopes to be the first to get it.
