Then you get to choose to be on the thin man's side or her side. Not fully fleshed out but just a concept I thought of.
I've thought of a similar concept except it was one where you could either play as adult Mono or Six on a revenge journey and replay through memories as you attempt to break the loop. And depending on who you chose would determine who you fought at the end. But the idea of a 3rd party having no connection to either of them and being the deciding factor in the end sounds interesting too.

Young Mono represents how he should be treating her(with love and care) whereas the Thin Man and the monsters represent how he really treats her(abuse). By the time we get to Monster Six and the betrayal, what’s actually happening is Six is finally acting out against him and the betrayal is actually her running away. How’s that for a theory?
