Den 10. november 2023 blev idylliske Grindavík i Island forvandlet til en farezone. En serie af jordskælv rev byen fra hinanden, og beboerne blev evakueret.
Grindavík, der før var en lille fiskerby, som sprudlede af liv, står nu tilbage med åbne sprækker til jordens indre, lava ved byporten og tomme hjem. Men hvor er beboerne i dag?

I am heartbroken for you. I have followed the misfortunes from the beginning, in deep sorrow. I can only imagine the loss of leaving your hometown is beyond comprehension. I live in a 😊land devoid of active volcanoes and natural disasters are seldom. I have taken to Iceland as mine own and pray one day that you may return.
