I hate to be pedantic but... as a classically trained violinist with perfect pitch,there were actually 2 notes in that whistle C#8 slides to D8!!! Amazing, wonderful Dimash can do anything he wants to do with his voice, while the rest of us, mere mortals as we are, can only listen with our mouths wide open and joy in our hearts! Not only did he write it, he wrote it as a teenager! I'm sure that Dimash will keep pushing the envelope because that's who he is as a person. Dimash does not dwell on range or high high or low he can go, but instead places importance on emotional expression so he never did do that again. There are a number of lower whistle notes for example in Tughan Zher, Drunken Concubine, one of the Screaming versions in China, Across Endless Dimensions, etc. Those notes are rounder and sweeter.

I think maybe you would like “Love is like a Dream” where instead of hitting one very high note Dimash performs some acrobatics in his higher range...and in his other ranges...and is very expressive...and puts on a masterful performance. But it is so difficult to choose....another song he wrote is “We are One” to inspire everyone during this COVID pandemic...then try to imagine Dimash singing “The Show Must Go On” and then compare your imagining to the real thing...you will realize that after watching these videos so far you really do not know him and will fail at anticipating what his next song will be like.

During the Chinese compettion "I am a singer" in 2017 he meet "Terry Lin" anouther contestent that was 51 years young then. Terry asked Dimash if he could sing this song in his own conserts...also he invited Dimash to sing duet with him in one of his conserts. The date changes severel times so it tourned out that Dimash hade outher commitments at home the day before. So he couldent leav until evning or so to travel to China! His flights were aboute 5 houers late and he hadent sleept for over 20 houers and got direkt on stage for that duet with Terry!!! There are songs he will do whistle notes. The d8 is something rare. If you watch he gets his voice ready. Though he has sung the song a few times he knows his voice and knows if he can hit if not he will not try it. That’s the remarkable thing about Dimash he knows the voice, his breath, and the pitch he can use during a performance.

Говорят, что D8 - «свист дельфина», которое спел Димаш, в истории современного певческого исполнения самое длинное звучание этой ноты. Есть певцы, которые берут эту высокую ноту, но так долго держать её ни у кого не получается. Музыку к этой песне написал сам Димаш, когда ему было 19 лет. Димаш пел на казахском языке.

I hate to be pedantic but... as a classically trained violinist with perfect pitch,there were actually 2 notes in that whistle C#8 slides to D8!!!
Amazing, wonderful Dimash can do anything he wants to do with his voice, while the rest of us, mere mortals as we are, can only listen with our mouths wide open and joy in our hearts!

Not only did he write it, he wrote it as a teenager! I'm sure that Dimash will keep pushing the envelope because that's who he is as a person. His teachers said he never sat back on his laurels ... he'd keep pushing to improve. When I first heard SOS on Singer I didn't think there could be any performance better than that. КРАТКИЙ ПЕРЕСКАЗ ДЛЯ ТЕХ, У КОГО НЕТ СУБТИТРОВ ///////////////////////// Друзья, начиная с 12 декабря 2020 г. Томас посмотрел СОС, Грешная страсть, ЛПНС и сегодня дошла очередь до D8. Как всегда, я записала только то, что мне показалось интересным из того, что сказал Томас.
1) Он назвал Димаша великим на сегодняшний день. Томас признался, что после того, как он сделал несколько реакций, то он просто сдулся. Из прошлых реакций Томасу нравятся его (Димаша) спектакли, его голос, его присутствие на сцене. «После песни ЛПНС я спрашивал зрителей, какие песни содержат такие свистки, где ноты зашкаливают, идет очень высоко, т.е. что выходит за рамки? Мне порекомендвали «Незабываемый день».
2) На 3:08 Томас сказал: «Боже мой, каждое выступление просто такое увлекательное…». Томас считает, что наряд Димаша (назвал его «пальто») слишком не для сцены. Это то, что Томас мог бы носить. Но Димашу все сходит с рук, потому что он такой гениальный. Еще ему понравилось оформление «фестиваля или шоу». Идет очень интересная постановка. Ему нравится, что в каждом выступлении Димаша показывают фанатов, их эмоции («истерию»), видно, как фанаты его справедливо любят, потому что он этого заслуживает. Идет страстная поддержка фанатов. Это невероятно - можно видеть выражение всех лиц. Далее Томас сказал: «Его голос фантастический, его контроль (дыхания) невероятен, его вибрато просто необычайно устойчиво и идеально. Это просто похоже на (поющую) «машину», на страстную «машину». Это звучит так прекрасно и реально. И это значит, что он такой устойчивый (стабильный). Эту песню написал он сам, остальные песни, которые я видел, были написаны другими...».
3) На 6:21 Томас сказал: «Мы не забываем, сколько голосов имеет Димаш, а также, что у него невероятный оперный диапазон. Он начинает мягким спокойным голосом, а потом просто включает оперу и … ох! … у тебя сразу мурашки по коже. Это здание за сценой похоже на правительственное или какое-то известное здание в Казахстане. Это красиво, это фантастическая обстановка. И то, как он (Димаш) может просто прикасаться к рукам зрителей, взаимодействовать с ними, мы отлично видим».
4) На 8:24 Томасу сделалось плохо, он закрыл глаза и простонал: «О, хорошо, хорошо, хорошо!» и поставил вокализ на повтор. Досмотрел до конца и сказал: «Ну, теперь я, наконец, понял, что у меня есть засвидетельствованный (увиденный) «свисток». … У меня нет слов, я никогда ничего такого не видел и не слышал в моей жизни. Я не могу поверить, что человеческое существо произвело этот шум (звук), который был просто… Я даже не могу представить, как он это делает. Я даже не могу говорить, т.к. не знаю, как он это делает. Это совершенно незабываемо. О, Боже мой! … Этот человек может делать так много. Он настоящий мастер вокала. Я не знаю, родился ли он с такой способностью. Вероятно, у него смесь из того, что он родился с невероятным талантом, с уникальными голосовыми связками и проделал тяжелую работу и тренировался всю свою жизнь, чтобы добраться до этого момента. У Димаша должна быть невероятная способность манипулировать определенными мышцами голосовых связок таким образом, чтобы это можно было сделать. Было красиво, но я должен сказать, какой потрясающей была эта нота. Я просто потрясен, я потерял дар речи от этого. Я думаю, что я впечатлен содержанием песни. Это очень красивая и сложная песня. Есть в ней несколько интересных аккордов, последовательность и ключевые изменения. Сам факт, что эту песню написал сам Димаш, говорит о его невероятном таланте и исполнительских способностях. Все выглядит так легко. Димаш выглядит таким скромным. Но все это соединяется с толпой, а потом ты уже и сдулся. А затем поверх всего этого он добавляет ноту свистка, и тогда с тобой происходит безмолвное крушение, как случилось со мной сейчас. Это было возвышенно, абсолютно возвышенно. Я просто не могу насытиться им (Димашем). Он еще так молод, что трудно понять, чего он собирается достичь. Я надеюсь, что его путешествие продолжится вверх, он получит всемирную известность, которую заслуживает. Потому что нет никого, похожего на него. Я надеюсь, что он, раздвигая границы (возможного), продолжит экспериментировать и писать красивую музыку и показывать нам то, чего мы никогда раньше не видели. Потому что это делает жизнь интересной. Это то, что мы хотим видеть с музыкой, узнать что-то новое. Вы знаете, что мы слышим по радио одно и тоже, снова и снова, в формате поп-музыки, поэтому, когда вы видите настоящего художника, провидца, который приходит и делает что-то для этого мира незабываемое, то это «незабываемый день», как в песне. Thank you...yup he is a soul whisperer. Many amazing singers but Dimash is soooo much more than only a singer. He is at his best when singing Khazak Russian and European songs. Very glad to see you coming back to Dimash. Hard to believe that he performed this live in front of about 100,000 people in Almaty (where I used to live incidentally) and almost certainly ad libbed the D8 after a problem with the previous note.
I saw an interaction on Zoom he had with some of his his Dears and he was asked if he planned that note or if it was spontaneous. He responded that it was spontaneous. What a talent!!

Dimash does not dwell on range or high high or low he can go, but instead places importance on emotional expression so he never did do that again. There are a number of lower whistle notes for example in Tughan Zher, Drunken Concubine, one of the Screaming versions in China, Across Endless Dimensions, etc. Those notes are rounder and sweeter.

I think maybe you would like “Love is like a Dream” where instead of hitting one very high note Dimash performs some acrobatics in his higher range...and in his other ranges...and is very expressive...and puts on a masterful performance. But it is so difficult to choose....another song he wrote is “We are One” to inspire everyone during this COVID pandemic...then try to imagine Dimash singing “The Show Must Go On” and then compare your imagining to the real thing...you will realize that after watching these videos so far you really do not know him and will fail at anticipating what his next song will be like.

Great Reaction and commentary. In an interview, Dimash indicated the note was not intentional. He usually sings a G7 for this part of the song, but it didn't materialize. So he hit the D8, and let it ride. What else does a singer do when he has to improvise??? Speaks to dolphins??

That It's correct that he wrote the music to this one when he was 17 or 19 years old and lyrics by Oral Baisengir, who was a poet/lyricist father of a friend of Dimash.
During the Chinese compettion "I am a singer" in 2017 he meet "Terry Lin" anouther contestent that was 51 years young then. Terry asked Dimash if he could sing this song in his own conserts...also he invited Dimash to sing duet with him in one of his conserts. The date changes severel times so it tourned out that Dimash hade outher commitments at home the day before. So he couldent leav until evning or so to travel to China! His flights were aboute 5 houers late and he hadent sleept for over 20 houers and got direkt on stage for that duet with Terry!!!

There are songs he will do whistle notes. The d8 is something rare. If you watch he gets his voice ready. Though he has sung the song a few times he knows his voice and knows if he can hit if not he will not try it. That’s the remarkable thing about Dimash he knows the voice, his breath, and the pitch he can use during a performance.

What I like so much about this performance is how completely relaxed and confident Dimash is (in front of 100.000 people...), connecting and shaking hands with fans while singing full power, improvising this whistle note... You can see that he feels totally "at home" in this song, I think he composed it when he was 19 years old. And he puts all love and emotion into it, dedicating it to his Dears. So beautiful!
