So for those who don't know who this guy is, the Meltyman is a character McPig made who's based off of the character Darkman. He originated from the DOOM mod "Bring Your Own Class" and would use garbage and his rage as a means of attacking
meltyman is my favorite character in bring your own class, he is too well animated, his rage bar is too funny, and darkman seems like a GREAT movie to me
feels like i've seen this type of character a lot. weirdly proportioned, shoddily clothed cartoon amalgamate of a man who uses the most mundane shit as weapons but is really powerful for no reason
I like the idea that in-between the rage-fueled anxious mess that is Peppino, the chaotic and bouncy Noise, and the burly yet reliable Gustavo and Brick, Meltyman is just the PT world equivalent of an alternate who's just living off of the local city alleyway's trash and dumpsters. He has no idea why the Tower is here, or why he's here, but he sees the buncha trash lying around and he's like ''i'm boutta raid all this.'' and he does.
I kinda thought how melty update story should go Story: melty man was sleeping in his local dump but the dumpster company moved all to the trash to tower because they thought it was abandoned and then melty man wakes up to see the tower in front of him so he decides to explore it and that how the story begins
Ohh, I LOVE Meltyman already! The pacing of his Mach 4 only being accessible during an escape is SUCH an interesting mechanic that I can't wait to see how players deal with it. Edit: My mistake, he can only engage Mach 4 when he's in outraged mode. That can be activated when he fills up that rage meter lol

Not really, there's that rage bar that grows little by little, when it fills up, you can activate it at any time you want, it seems that in the video the guy who is playing activates it with a taunt

At a certain point, I just want McPig to find the best community-made character mods, like this one, go up to the creators and be like, "Good job, kid. Here's a paycheck - He's in the base game now."
His rage mechanic is an amazing factor. He has no acceleration time and there's always the question of when is the best time to use the extra mach per stage. Imagine the spaghetti we'll get into in Peppibot.
This moveset actually looks fairly interesting. He has instant mach 3, but can't damage enemies or go mach 4, unless he builds rage, much like his BYOC origins. He also seems to have some sort of item mechanic related to garbage, being able to throw garbage cans as a resource. The same might also apply to the metal pipes, but we haven't seen it yet. Also, the music is an absolute bop! Only thing I would change personally is making his mach run have actual acceleration, Since instant mach 3 is sorta Pepperman's thing in most mods (plus it looks really jarring right now with no windup or startup at all). Rather, I'd make it that he still has the early build up like Peppino and Noise, but progresses to mach 3 and 4 much quicker than other characters. As for other things like the presumably charged up Wall run, since his superjump also seems to do the same, I don't really know. It's a bit too early to say anything for sure. Maybe I might check this mod out in the future when I can. Looks really great non-the-less.
Ideas: -Bob and BOB as Gustavo and Brick -Melty Man's rage meter reaches to the limit when going to Lap 2 -In The Vigilante Boss Battle, he throws his explosive teddy or else trash cans -Melty Man can beat stupid rats without transformation. -Melty Man's shotgun transformation is the trash gun that he uses in BYOC -Melty Man's eats the hot noddles in the final boss (Phase 3)
Not bad I actually like those ideas not so much no transformations but if it takes to long to make them or can’t find any ideas for his transformations move sets then that’s what it’s going to be
question, there will be a way to fill meltyman march 4 bar faster? 'cause i dont see how you can get a decent amount for levels like bloodsauce dungeon or RR-F
Finally the first new frenzy world character to not feel like a waste of time Pizzelle was a waste of time because Pizzelle sucks And snick was kinda also a waste of time because they redid his sprites when his sage sprites we’re already perfect and the new ones suck (they just make his proportions slightly different enough to piss me off) also they gave him drift which just ruins snicks whole speed gimmick This is actually pretty cool
Is it true this was a joke? i mean i cant even know if its irony or not because The Mr.Stick thing for Cheesed up was also a joke and he was just missing a couple sprites...
@@IcyIsChill I dont remember if it was in a comment section but i saw some people saying the melty man in frenzy worlds and Mr.Stick were a joke, like Snick on the sage demo, which now coming back to this, they did remove Mr Stick from the newest cheesed up version which is even weirder, why would you remove such a stand out character from other mods? Thats like all the stores sell chocolate cake and only one seels vanilla, and a couple days later that same store just sells chocolate like any other, doesnt make any sense!

It's not during the escape. It's when the meter under the point counter is filled to max lol

snick is being put on hold for now. working off a character like snick is fairly difficult, so we're focusing on more original characters first.
