Amber is convinced that Deacon really cares about Bridget and should stay together, but Rick refuses to interfere believing Bridget will be better off without a two-timing jerk like Deacon. Deacon explains to Bridget why he wants a divorce but she refutes everything he says. Desperate to make Bridget understand that he has to end the marriage, Deacon blurts out that he had an affair. Deacon doesn’t say whom he had the affair with; just that it wasn’t Amber. Tony tells his parents that the reason the Forresters are opposed to him and Kristen getting married is because he’s HIV positive. Eduardo thanks Kristen for helping Tony break the news and then dismisses her, but Tony says she isn’t going anywhere because she really is his fiancée. Tony’s parents are initially object to the marriage, but finally welcome Kristen to their family.
