- Massimo tries to convince Sally she misunderstood, but Sally knows what she heard - Ridge is Massimo’s son. Sally says she finally has the weapon she needs to bring down the House of Forrester. Sally says she’s is on Massimo’s side, but when she won’t promise to keep her mouth shut, he threatens her. Stephanie assures Ridge that after her conversation with Massimo he will stay away from Ridge, but Ridge is worried about Massimo’s obsession with Stephanie. When Stephanie refuses to cut off contact with Massimo, Ridge demands to know what hold Massimo has over her. Stephanie insists she and Massimo are just friends. While on their honeymoon, Tony and Kristen meet a young orphan named Zende.

The missing *episode 3690.*
Massimo is about to tell everyone about Ridge's paternity when Stephanie returns. She interrupts him and asks to talk to him in private. Meanwhile, Sally is determined to go to the Café Russe and find out what is going on (it must be a slow day at the office). Stephanie and Massimo are having an animated discussion about Ridge's paternity outside the restaurant when (of course) Sally arrives at the right moment, hides behind a plant, and finds out that Massimo is Ridge's father. Sally missed her true calling as a detective.
Rick and Amber are in the hospital. Apparently the baby is okay, but the doctor is running some tests. Rick is very supportive and tells Amber what a great idea it was to go to the gravesite. The doctor returns, explaining that Amber was feeling ill because an infection caused a kidney problem, and since she has only one kidney (having given the other one to Rick), this means her pregnancy may be high risk. Amber says she has no regrets and if Rick had needed two kidneys, she would have given him both of hers. Because who wants kidneys, anyway?
Just to remind Rick that Amber( who lately acted as if she was in love with someone else) gave him one of her kidneys..

Stephanie did absolutely nothing to Macy, she was one of her biggest supporters. Heck, pretty much the whole family was against Brooke and Thorne. Sally is being ridiculous.
Exactly. Sally needed to find out about Brooke's pregnancy and go pick on her instead. Brooke's the one who deserves Sally's wrath.
Although I agree that Brooke and Thorne are the ones who are the most deserving of Sally's wrath, at this point Sally is simply directing her anger at the Forrester clan as a group rather than as individuals. And maybe it's not just about Macy's death but about the way the Forresters treated Macy over the years, including that one time they had her thrown in jaiI for no reason. It is true that Stephanie was supportive of Macy during the Thorne/Brooke storyline, but Eric and Ridge indirectly played a part in Macy's death. They didn't intend to hurt Macy but the fact that they didn't at all _consider_ how the Venice scheme might affect her is symptomatic of how the Forresters never really thought of Macy as one of their own. Eric and Ridge withheld information from Macy (and Sally) that would have saved Macy's life. Yes, they did it to save Stephanie, but still.
@@annieo6527 exposing Brooke's secret would not only hurt Brooke.. It would, by extension, hurt the Forresters as she is the CEO of the company.
Imagine the scandal. The CEO is pregnant by her son in law? I don't believe that's the image Steph or even Eric (no matter how much he would defend Brooke) would want for their company.
So Sally could swipe at Brooke. And by ext the entire family by swiping at the reputation of Forrester Creations.
@@TriniT21 yes, that's a good point about Forrester Creations! I didn't think of that. I'm just saying that in a way I understand Sally wanting some kind of "justice" any way she can, even if it's not entirely rational. Kind of like "the Forresters destroyed my family, now I want to destroy theirs". And Ridge's crown prince status, which Sally wants to overthrow, is not unrelated to Macy's death, since this was the underlying factor that made Thorne betray Macy in an attempt to compete with Ridge. So to Sally, Macy's death, set in motion by the Forresters sacrificing her to save their own Queen, _would_ be just the culmination of years and years of the Forresters looking down on the Spectras.

To Sally, the Forresters destroyed Macy. And Ridge is the crown prince and heir apparent to Forrester, as Macy was crown princess and heir apparent to Spectra.
So makes sense she would want to upend Ridge's life via destroying the Forrester dynasty to avenge the destruction of the Spectra dynasty.
I just feel she also needed to go after Brooke, who she didn't even want in her coffee house... That one swipe of Brooke's betrayal to the royal grandchildren would def make the Forrester castle crumble.

The secret Sally really needed to find out, was Brooke being preggers for her son in law... Bc Brooke is really the one Sally needed to have no mercy on.
I can only assume that Sally is now thinking about Macy's life with the Forresters as a whoIe, and not just the few months before her death. I just wish the writers would have clarified this.
But Stephanie and Bridget are probably the _only_ Forresters who were completely innocent when it comes to Macy's destruction in 2000. Thorne, Brooke, Rick, Eric, Ridge, even Taylor, all played some part in it.
@@annieo6527 I feel like poor Taylor already got some payback between Morgan...thinking her daughter was eaten by a shark... Being kidnapped and held just up the street from her house... Not to mention Brooke resurrecting her obsession over Ridge. I feel like she's suffered enough without now having to find out her kids are actually Marone blood and not Forrester blood
@@TriniT21 yes, Morgan was Ridge and Taylor's karma for Venice. Brooke and Thorne fell apart and ended up alone and that was theirs. The only one yet to suffer for his part in the Venice scheme is Eric, so maybe it's his time now.

Sally blames Brooke but also blames all Forresters. Macy has started to doubt her marriage and to drink, when Macy learned about the Italy scheme and how that has caused Thorne to propose to her. Ridge was a part of that.
It's true that Stephanie did nothing to hurt Macy. Ridge and Eric, however, planned (and then covered up) the Venice scheme that indirectly caused her death, so I could understand Sally being upset with them. But this "revenge" of Sally's is going to hurt Stephanie the most, and Thorne the _least_ (if anything, it will benefit Thorne who will now be Eric's firstborn). And Brooke won't even be touched by it.
Then again, maybe by now Sally is remembering all the _years_ of Macy being treated unfairly by the entire Forrester family, Stephanie included.
The writers really got reckless with this secret 🙄

Ridge is a jerk and hypocrite like Eric when it comes to Brooke.
Steph should do like Ridge did, and move her and Massimo into Ridge's house to live there, same way Ridge moved Brooke into Steph's house when she clearly didn't want Brooke there.

This episode highlights what I have been saying about "Dead Macy" being a _different character_ compared to "Alive Macy" - one with more potential to drive confIicts. Here, Sally is motivated by her _dead_ daughter to cause disruption in the Forrester family in order to achieve some kind of "justice". Her motivation is understandable but not rational (she can't bring back Macy, but she clearly wants revenge on _someone,_ and if she can't get to Brooke or Thorne, any Forrester will do). Stephanie, who would suffer the most if Sally told the truth, played no active part in Macy's death. Eric and Ridge did to some extent. Thorne, who played the biggest part, would possibly even _benefit_ from suddenly being Eric's firstborn son.
But there is another layer to this. In a way, Sally could achieve justice by disrupting the Forrester family dynamic because Macy was an innocent victim of that very family dynamic. Ridge being the "crown prince" was the underlying reason for Brooke and Thorne's relationship (Thorne's need to compete with Ridge, and Brooke's need to replace him), as well as the start of Brooke's rivalry with Stephanie (which was the root cause of Stephanie's stroke). Macy got drawn into a dynamic that she had nothing to do with, and died as a result. And although Stephanie had nothing to do with Macy's death, Macy died _so Stephanie could live._
The way things are going with skipped episodes, I don't even think we're gonna get a chance to see the one where ridge finds out that massimo is his father

As for Brooke's paternity secret, yes, that would be karmic justice for Brooke (because Brooke would lose her own daughter because she did to Bridget the same thing that she did to Macy), but that too would end up hurting an innocent person the most (Bridget).

This channel skips episodes and skipped over my favorite years/seasons of the show (1997-1999), but I still appreciate that it exists. Bold and the Beautiful is unique. Its 20-minute episode format makes it a fun, quick escape. I usually skip through the boring scenes anyway (sorry Tony & Kristen) so it’s about ten minutes of entertaining content. Who would’ve guessed that thousands of old episode tapes would be Internet content someday. I just can’t imagine another soap like As the World Turns or Guiding Light having the same fan viewership on RUclips. I like the Young and the Restless but it is too long and has always taken itself too seriously. No one has time to watch through hour-long episodes dating back to 1973, and if they do, they need to get out more. But with B&B, it’s an adventure that starts in the peak of 80s culture and leads us to the present today.

Well Sally is not entirely wrong, not from her perspective. The Forresters accepted Brooke and Thorne, and even Stephanie attended their wedding. Macy wasn't even an afterthought for anyone.

I just don’t get Sally’s misplaced anger. If I remember correctly, Stephanie and Eric and the rest of the family were rooting for Macy and Thorne. Sally should focus all that anger on the people who are truly responsible, Thorne and Brooke. I don’t see her walking around trying to threaten the entire Logan family, and Brooke literally is the one that drove Macy over the edge.
Also It’s always Ridge’s audacity for me. He wouldn’t cut off Brooke even if it meant it drive his WIFE crazy but he as a son is demanding that his mother cut off Massimo (I’m not sure if that’s how you spell his name).
