So pleased you showed this. I've had my 1220XD for 25 or so years now and it just keeps giving. Great to see it in an expert's (Kris's) hands.

Good hunt. Love watching the analog machines work. I prefer them myself. No bells and whistles , just good performance. Hope to see that machine working again soon.

35 years of using the 1220b. Mid 90s I upgraded to the XD. Still use it.

Reminds me of my ancient C Scooe BFO 60 from 40 years ago which worked uniquely on a change in tone rather than volume. It was perfect for my musical ear. I regularly pulled up more than anyone else because I could hear the difference in tone.

Interested in the 1220xd, how much depth does this machine deliver on the small finds?

They aren't depth monsters by any means but they are sensitive on small stuff like hammered coins.Very quirky machines and being non motion you can swing them as slow as you like.....great for searching around stiff stubble etc.

Thank you for doing this video, I recall asking for a 1220xd video on one of those retro videos you do.
Not managed to get out much with mine but hopefully do get round to it soon.
How often does your detector drift, as I find myself retuning quite often

You swing a static like a dynamic...

Are they good machines? I've got a ace250, had it for about 6 years ,it would be nice get one the actually finds coins

I believe that big bit of lead was something a leather worker would use years ago in their palm to not stab themselves with a leather needle.

Hello, I would like to ask a question. I have a C.scope CS1220xd metal detector and I think something is wrong. When I turn it on the signal emits a normal tone but immediately it starts to get darker and lower, it starts to drop. It doesn't matter what mode it's in. Could you help me? I don't know if it needs a repair or a reset. I'm going to try to send you a video I made today in Spanish. Thanks greetings.ruclips.net/video/Wqw2c6vgMqQ/видео.html

Vous balayez un peu trop vite avec votre 1220 , vous perdez ainsi les cibles profondes en limite ; ce n'est pas un dynamique mais un statique !!
    Bien @ vous 👍
