I remember beating this game so many years ago, and feeling so proud even though I died so many times. I'm visually impaired now and really can't play games anymore, But thanks to this video I was able to turn out the light and could see enough to relive the game from beginning to end. @@alex.g7317 I am significantly visually impaired due to glaucoma. An emergency surgery managed to keep some of my eyesight and for that I will be forever grateful. I have discovered I can still play path of exile although nowhere near to the level that I used to be able to. I'm still really enjoying it though. Thanks for the nice words.

I always thought maybe I’d try to have a quick, no death playthrough but something about failing on purpose in this game has been satisfying to me ever since I played it years ago
My favorite part remains the ending where the boy gets himself flung through the window via the influence of invisible forces (magnetic field and gravitational field. It makes the game albeit eerie and chilling feel so worth all the player's efforts. 13 years later and i still love this game! Now playing Playdead's Inside.
That hotel skip where you fall between the o and the t is so genius, I remember I thought it was possible by looking at it, tried it, and pulled it off. I felt so proud of myself haha
you're gonna have to be more specific than that ... because the entire end section is complicated and dangerous (especially for a casual player, going for the no-death achievement) ... so, you have to practice, and when you feel confident enough - go for it!
Amazing run, like the new box strategy at 32:35. I can see 35:10 or less being possible if you avoid small mistakes like at 14:41, or if you're lucky, you can run straight past the first saw at 28:00.

you have to find all the secret eggs to open the gate (see how many candles are burning, next to/before the gate) the ladder takes you on the "normal route" (which is a different category of speedruning)
you can see my inputs in the down-right corner of the screen ... this particular skip is input specific, meaning: it works when you do those exact inputs in short: when gravity goes up you stand next to the big block and face away from it, and when gravity switches down you hold up to climb the block, then you keep holding up to perform a standing jump (this helps for timing) then immediately hold down to climb down next to the big block ... and wait ... voila!
Okay hear me out, I've completed this game once, but I never encountered that PITCH BLACK machinery level!!! I watched that sequences in total confusion!

25:30 the gate for me is always closed. I climbed the ladder and for the next 5 mins in the vid the gameplay was different?
