  • Hello Fruitful Listeners! This here is a fun vlog where we give you guys a peek into our lives as Christian parents who work from home, run our wedding venue, homestead and most importantly, homeschool our children. I have been homeschooling for 7 years.
I also have a 4 year old... this is how I am homeschooling him : teaching him to fold laundry, make scrambled eggs by himself, play boardgames, take care of animals, cut snacks up for the others and make fruit salad, give him a box of random materials to create, a lego box, being outside as mu h as possible, painting with classical music, reading book and listening to me read to the others. Done. Lol I don't start formal education until age 7 and have excellent learners! I realized that as they get older there is so much they have to do concerning book work. Once a child can read they can learn anything so my approach is incredible gentle.

Nice job. We do most all of those too (aside from the classical music painting. Good idea). Like you, we firmly believe in hands on learning. We are more concerned than anything else with them learning about God at this point.

Enjoyed watching this as I was homeschooled from 3rd grade until 12th grade as my Mom was a teacher and was able to also do my schoolwork at my Dad’s office and then later worked for him too while doing school. Even did Senior pictures.

@@OurFruitfulFamily You are so welcome. It was actually 4th grade until 12th. One of my 1st assignments was to write letters to my Grandma’s and my Dad’s only sister and I still have their letters and my Grandma’s would add notes from my Grandpa’s too and my handwriting improved over the years.

I used a paper towel roll for my son's trumpet. He called it a doot ta doo. I love your happy family and pray for the best for you in your home school endeavors.

We have been homeschooling our children from the start as well. I smiled when i saw the curriculum you chose! We have been using My Fathers World from the beginning of our homeschool journey. We are at the end of Creation to the Greeks right now. And it has been such a blessing. So rich in Gods word. You will love it.

My 24 year old daughter is ASHELYN.
Our boys Carson & Caleb were in private Christian school from k-4 until our oldest Carson transferred to the 1st CHARTER school in Arkansas, Academics Plus Charter School in Maumelle, Arkansas.
We only have a little under 20k population in Maumelle, Arkansas. When Keith & I moved to Maumelle ( TOTALLY RURAL in 1999),we had to move to a slower pace and only 8500 people lived in Maumelle in 1999.
Our Charter school was also the 1st school in ARKANSAS to offer college classes for credit beginning in 9th grade.Plus, it was so wonderful when Carson graduated 🎓 High School with 60 college credits ! He was also accepted to YALE. But, Carson chose College Of The Ozarks in Branson, MO because of their Christian curriculum and he got a full scholarship.
The Charter Schools were able to bring in teachers who actually worked in a Professional Job like Bankers to teach Checking /Savings Accounts, our Maumelle Mayor also taught on Leadership, We had a lot of great experienced Teachers to teach things normally not incorporated and learned in High School. We had an Auto Mechanic in our town teach changing tires, looking under your car or truck hood, etc.
All three of our kids got full scholarships to college which we were so grateful 🙏 to the Lord!
My daughter finally met a Godly, loving guy who serves Jesus about 6 months ago...not married yet and this young man is gonna be a Doctor. He's at UAMS in Med School.
My sons ages 31 and 28 have NOT MET the Christian spouse God has for them yet.
We told them to set the bar high and not accept less than GOD'S VERY BEST.They also watched their Dad Keith model being a Spiritual leader in our home and how a man should love his wife.
Micaiah is growing so fast! Love ♥️ y'all !

Your homeschool looks beautiful and peaceful. Your boys are so lucky to be taught by you. But just interested, does everybody in america learn to read and wright at such a youg age? 4 years old is very young!

    • @OurFruitfulFamily
      @OurFruitfulFamily  6 месяцев назад +1

Depends on where you look and also depends on the child. Averages range from 6-7 years old. He is 4.5 years old. He’s doing well so far for his age.
