Seattle added a very good player for the next couple of years. It appears they didn't have to give up too much in the deal so kudos to them. They still have a lot of needs so it will be interesting if they go all in or if they just try to pick up one more piece that will still be under team control over the next two seasons. They may have to play their cards more towards 2025 and 2026 and I think that is okay.

The Rays might see these two individuals as franchise players and they didn’t see anything like that in the Dodgers system. They’re looking for market inefficiencies. The Dodgers might just not have had a similar set of prospects that the Rays see as valuable.
Dodgers need outfielders, sure, but I think they are trying to find a CF rather than a RF or LF. Given that Arozarena is also a negative defender and the struggles with Pages at CF, I think they have another trade target
