Awesome guys ! I hear you talk about big timber bucks ! That is definitely a topic I know about ! I have seen many massive 220 to 250 inch bucks out of season but the one that stick out in my mind is a buck I found during the archery in August ! I found 3 4 points and one 2 smaller bucks at first ! Then I caught movement above them ! All the bucks below this guy were tan and in velvet and decent 28 inch and smaller ! But the big buck above was dark gray and his horns were really dark ! I estimated 30inches tall and about 38inches wide ! Both me and my ex father-in-law were blown away !! We had him at 120 yards but when we made our play behind the ridge he vanished !
Tom you just killed the KING OF THE MOUNTAIN!!! Holy Smokes man what a buck!!! LOVE the MASS and extras. Beautiful deer man. Congrats to you and Trav. What a moment you will forever remember!!!
It's amazing you fellas managed to connect with that same buck and put such an efficient stalk on him. Good shooting as usual and always a pleasure to watch such dialed hunters.
I really enjoy all your videos. Appreciate all your efforts to share your adventures with everyone. What a slammer of a buck on this high country mule deer hunt.
Wow, what a slob! A skinny slob haha! Crazy how thin they can get, and poor muleys rut in the beginning of winter! At least elk have a few months to recover. This winter was hard on them :(
Man a killer buck for sure. Every mule deer hunters dream there. Travis is a real one for sure being willing to tell you about it. Awesome teamwork guys
Wow, that is a really nice buck. All 3 of them were good deer but this one is extra heavy with nice dark horns. Love the channel and content. Congratulations of the mulies
@@Stuckntherut1 I've been subscribed for a while and you guys are some great hunters, love your hunts. Sometimes it is luck and sometimes it is the skill that you have learned. Look forward to seeing more of your hunts.
One thing I'm realizing with this mountain hunting is it seems very tough to walk quietly. Sticks and snow and rocks, not to mention of course the pitch of the hill. Obviously it doesn't keep you from killing things though lol. I just thought holy smokes Mr Tom is crashing along those hills 😂😂😂
You think about it. The animals also make a ton of noise. Especially elk. I think that if you try too hard to be quiet you end up giving it away that you're not another animal.
Great job, Tom! I've been waiting for this one for so long! Quick question: what elevation do you typically hunt for muleys? Keep making awesome videos!
Great buck, you owe your buddy bigtime for that. I'm a native Montanan, curious if this was from 2022? From what I've seen Deer herds are way WAY down, good to see a few good ones left.
Well done, guys. That’s amazing that you were able to find him again. I’ve been watching your videos for awhile now and you guys certainly hunt in some rugged terrain and aren’t afraid to go the distance. What kind of physical training do you guys have?
@@Stuckntherut1 7.5 yo mulie here in Montana is rare. They have it tough. He's a bit better than the score indicates imo. We've killed a few high country180's near our home in Montana but not many.
Went hunting in Colorado for Elk in the early season for bulls only. Didn't get an Elk that time because of a dam airplane that was scaring off the herds on purpose. It made me so dam mad that I swore I'd never come back. 8 years later I was in a different county hunting for mule deer and I had a very good experience and I bagged a beautiful big mule deer on the fourth day of a 5 day season. On the trip back home, the biggest black bear I've ever seen ran across the hiway and I dam near bagged him too, with a pickup truck. I'll never forget that bear that was at dick ray's place in Pagosa Springs that attacked him and bit a chunk outta him until someone threw a half ate apple in the bears pen and that damn bear turned him loose to go eat that apple . While camping in a tent was the plan, we decided to sleep in the pickup instead of being mauled and then ate by a dam bear.
I live here in Montana and personally, I wish they would prohibit out of state hunting altogether! These animals should be for hunters that live in Montana year round, not for people with lots of money, unfortunately it's the money that is important to Montana Fish, Wildlife and Parks! 👎👎👎👎
Big elk, moose or bear are amazing, but its hard to beat the experience of tagging a big muley buck like that.

That is a nice buck. Looks a lot like western Montana. When God made Montana he had a lot of extra rock so it was stacked up pretty high.
Congratulations
Very much enjoy your videos! Great hunt. Thanks for sharing. What bullet did you use?
That was a Berger from a 7 Saum

Awesome buck what unit ?!
Thank you. I'd rather not say, got to keep these units secret.
What bipod is that on your gun?
Atlas
