Mule deer are amazing. I have some property and have gotten so many huge muleys over the years I just put friends and old timers on them now. I have never shot a nice whitetail though. Would love to. Way better eating too
NICE! great buck Travis! Glad to see we aren't the only ones who manage to get the pack setup under the mule! We pack with mules almost every season and every now and then we have that happen. I only wish I could be a member of stuck N The rut you guys ROCK! and oh by the way we always tell people right where we go. We figure if they are tough enough to get there then more power to them.
Stuck N The Rut yeah it adds a whole new element to hunting. The last time we went out we had 60mph + winds and rain in the big dug fir forests of far northern California. The animals were less than pleased as you would know.
Nice buck!!!! I've learned hunting in the Frank late season backpack style, after a harvest, I throw all my water in between the meat. It thaws it out real quick when you need water the most!😂
Nice buck! We were in that same weather those same days last year, my daughter got one, but it wasnt easy! Great videos, you guys always show the fun stuff, the good and the bad! Thanks for keeping it real!
Great buck! What's even crazier than that hunt is the animals you've shot since then; great success! I'll be in Montana this November chasing nice bucks with my wife who also drew out. Great video!
Binge watching these myself, not sure I'll ever be able to deer hunt the same way yall do (I rely on a cane), but I'll at least be getting into small game hunting.
Great buck. I’ll be in Wyoming in a limited draw muley hunt this fall too. What did that buck measure out to? I’m no expert but I’d say he is a solid 180”
Fantastic hunt. And WHAT A BUCK!!! I know what it is to pack out what you harvest. That's when the work begins. Done it many times over the years. Curious what caliber you shot him with. Whatever it was, did the job! Great hunt and CONGRATS!!!
What kind of camera are you using? If you have a DSLR, I'd recommend a 250/300 mm lens. You can also add a 2x converter. You'll lose a few stops and some overall focus, but you'll get amazing zoom.
I live in North West Wyoming an been a native for 33 yrs. I would love to take you guys around the east an west entrances around cook city an sunlight mountains along to beartooth mountain great country to Elk an Deer hunt on General Tags deer start October 15th area 105 106 if you ever make it this way towards cody wyoming id live to meet up an show you what I have experienced in the last 25 yrs of hunting. Great video as usual. I notice you guys never seem to get winded doing all that hiking and climbing....what do you guys do to stay in shape off season besides working?
We do have a active lifestyle between gym, and work. It just may be that we are still so young and full of energy, but our jobs are physically demanding, and that does help us a lot.
I’m from Europe but I’ve hunted mule deer once that was in Utah in the mountains above Salt Lake City I think it was close to Wyoming I got a decent 4 point after passing up multiple 2 points
Great hunt, great video. I really want to say thank you guys for sharing some of the greatest hunting videos iv'e seen... I am a bit curious as to how far was the hike and pack in from truck to your camp??? Sure did seem like a lot of difference in the weather, you all must have gained some elevation??
Yes it is public land. I killed a 182" buck on the top of that same ridge. There were 4 wolves in that basin the last time I was there and not a deer to be seen.
Evan Rustad there is no point of someone took their life. But yet y'all are crying when child is dead or someone kill a kid (your kid, little cousin) then y'all are sad and crying. Watch our 103 episodes, the majority of our hunts only took 1 shot, but sometimes hunting doesn't pan out the way we plan. Sometimes it takes more than one shot, even with the best hunters and shooters. Thank you for your thoughts.
It's always easy for the "Arm-Chair Pro's" to throw in their two cents. Nevertheless, this was a great hunt and a real good harvest. 400+ yards in the wind?! Good shot too!!!
Practice more...you have NO clue how much they practice. If you've ever really hunted you know sometimes things don't always go the way you'd like. You do know that, right?
One man's opinion is his own. We love to hunt, fish, camp, hike, grow gardens, pick wild berries. We could go to the grocery store and get some of those things, but being able to live off what nature has to offer is a rewarding feeling that can't be described unless you tried it yourself.
@@Stuckntherut1 yeah it is kinda cool, and rewarding. I understand. Hunting can be fun, but from my opinion one deer's life is as important as any human's.
"got him--"somewhere?" dude, if you are not sure go back to the range!! I can appreciate all the effort you guys did to come back with a beautiful trophy but why not put that extra effort in at the range before the pay day. If you dont feel comfortable about the near 500 yard shot then move closer to your quarry OR get your ass to the range more often so there is no doubt in your mind your shot wont just hit "somewhere". That way you will be "sure of your shot placement"! I just cant stand seeing it over and over hunters who would rather just shoot, regardless of how the placement is, then to pass on a buck for the camera's sake of posting it here. IT's like you are all competing with one another as to who can shoot the farthest! Clean, ethical kills is what it is all about right?

After reviewing the footage afterwards, I believe your right!! Thank you for watching!
Nice hunt nice buck thanks for sharing
Good shooting to bad no one else got a shot on any of the other deer. Looking forward to the next video
89 is a good area! Hard to draw though. Casper creek is good if you like bow fishing carp. For deer...not so much. Nice vid guys.
Thank you!

Awesome work men...
Congrats on a real beauty buck . Thanks for taking us along . Looks like you guys hit pay dirt on locating that Muley honeyhole . ATB
Sure did, sadly it didn't take long to chase them out of the canyon, but grateful to get a dandy buck out of the bachelor group nevertheless!!!
nice animal.....looks like you had an awesome hunt right there in Big Buck Heaven. Hard place to take it out though steep eh.....Great video!
Very steep!!! Thank you!

Actually come to think of it maybe you spent more time than video let on. Good buck anyway good luck Tim if you go back out.
I'm surprised that y'all don't use suppressors, especially when you have multiple tags to fill.
great vid!
Nice buck.Too bad both of you didd not connect with a buck.
Good patterns and color of camo clothing for the weather and terrain.

He wasn't unfortunately.
Looks like region H?
Great video :) I like your channel. I film wyoming. Great channel
What part of montana did you go through?
Nice buck! What elevation were you at?
roughly 9,000
What rifle do you use in This video ???
at the start, you say how Montana's having lots of forest fires, and the passenger says "nice"????????
breathe and squeeze absolutely
Nice!
Amazing man! I’m thinking of having a custom’ish rifle built. Any suggestions?
Did you get him scored?
Yes, 180+
Stunning!

Well done boys!

Sony Handi Cam

hey stuck n the rut what yards where you at?

338 Ultra mag!
Why the bright orange hats? (I don't know anything about hunting)
Shoshinaki Great question! It’s law for hunting safety.
Shoshinaki so you go home with your head in one piece, lol it’s so you don’t get shot and deer can’t really see orange
Tom Schneider Oh, ok! Makes a lot more sense now, thank you

Is this a public land hunt
I would guess public
Yes it is public land. I killed a 182" buck on the top of that same ridge. There were 4 wolves in that basin the last time I was there and not a deer to be seen.
What calibre mate?
Good job buy the way mad looking country👍

Ya'all have a sweet honey hole!!! Episode 99 and 56!!!
Thank you. Unfortunately it is getting discovered by several other hunters.
Been discovered for quite some time. Nice buck!
That’s what sucks about hunting places like that. Three shots and every deer in the country clears out.
You guys make me look lazy because I just drive around on our family's ranch and stalk the shooters but you guys hike, probably on public
Definitely on Public, however, if you invited us to kill giants on your property, I'm all in, lol!

i told you, all big deers in my country is all dead, even almost no one again big deer like deer in your fucking beauty USA
