Great to see your finishes and WIPS. Inspiring as always. I read Hidden Valley Road and I agree with you. It touches on mental health from the point of view of a family which makes it personal and heart wrenching. It's important for us to talk about this traditionally taboo subject that effects so many of us either as individuals or family and friends. Thanks!

Thanks Amy! I’m glad you felt the same way about Hidden Valley Ranch. And yes. We need to talk about mental illness more and remove the stigma 💜

Your pictures from Maine are BEAUTIFUL!!! And your Prairie Schooler ornament is precious. Yay for knocking out some WIPS! I like to have like 6 WIPS or less. Otherwise the anxiety starts to rise 😂. I read Hidden Valley Road a month or so ago. It was so enlightening in terms of mental illness and family dynamics.

I think your finishes are lovely - great job! Maine is one of my favorite places to visit so I really enjoyed your pictures. And book talk, bring it on! Love hearing about books.

Tour finishes are great, along with your wips! I love a sip parade so I’m looking forward to seeing yours! I don’t have a lot of wips, 10 or 12 maybe but I really want to get a couple done. One in particular has a huge error but it’s beautiful so I think that is the first I want to tackle. I hope the rest of today went well with school! Until next time

I ran over to the library site and put a ‘hold’ on the book. I love non fiction. That book is right up my alley. Thank you for talking about it. ~ I love Wip parades. Have a wonderful week my virtual stitching friend! Xoxo

This former new englander loved your ME pics! My late husband was from Maine and we went there often .
I loved that banded sampler and the biscornu! I'm working on Julie's second house, the one with the Christmas tree and soooo pretty. Hope you keep up the book chat, I really enjoyed it. So jealous of all those wonderful books behind you :)

Ooh! I read that book last month. It really was a well written and fascinating read. We have schizophrenia in my family so it helped a lot to read about someone else’s experience. Thank you for sharing books you enjoy along with your lovely stitching. We have very similar tastes.

Amy, Loved seeing all your stitching progress. Your ornament and biscornu are so adorable! I really enjoyed your review of the book. Schizophrenia is such a mysterious disease and we all need to improve our understanding and knowledge behind mental illness to reduce the stigma of it. Being a nurse I see first hand the impacts mental illness has on patients, families, and the community. I like your idea for a WIP parade in Dec. Please don’t be anxious at how many you have. Focus on how many you finished and the joy they bring you. Until next time! 🤗

Congrats are your finishes, I loved the biscounu(sp) and the ornament looked terrific. It’s amazing how many cross stitch places and people there are on the East coast. I am in a suburb of Chicago and I have yet to meet anyone ever that does cross stitch. There are few if any stores either. Very frustrating!

Your wips and finishes look really good! Don’t worry about having so many wips, they will get done when they get done 😀I love the book talk, there was a newspaper article about this family here not long ago (U.K) the book sounds sad but interesting x

This was the first video of your that I’ve watched and I really enjoyed it. I’m doing the Frankenstein SAL as well. I am finding it quite a sad book too 🙁 Thank you for your book suggestion & it was interesting to hear you discuss it.

Hidden Valley Road sounds fascinating and heartbreaking. I am a monogamous stitcher but have several items kitted (thanks to discovering FlossTube this past spring) and the kitted pile makes me antsy!

    • @gablesstitcher3325

I admire the restraint of all monogamous Stitchers!! Try not to let the kitted pile give you angst...,look at it as having a stitching stockpile or pantry 💜

Hey sorry to tell you those house patterns are not free, I went on the other day after I watched your last video and found out that, it was just a small fee but I didn't want you giving the wrong information

Hey Sheila! I just talked to Julie to check and she said you can write zero in the box and it will go through and that’s ok. I tried it and it worked too. I’ll make sure to mention that part in my next video. Hope you can get them. They are a fun stitch. Thanks for letting me know!
