Sony ILME-FX6 defective fan.

  • I cant believe how difficult it seems to have a camera, which I received with a defective part, repaired and how long it takes to get some basic information from Sony support. The FX6 is marketed as a camera that is aimed at professionals and Sony delivers a defective camera after letting me wait for it for months. It is not even covered by prime support but by regular consumer service...
    Even my dealer cant get the information from Sony to where to send the camera for repairs. We are discussing this topic for weeks now.
    Weeks after I contacted Sony they sent the contact address of their authorised Service center in Austria to where I should send my camera. I tried to have my camera repaired there, but they are NOT authorised by Sony to repair the FX6! They have been in contact with Sony Europe about this and after days of negotiating with Sony they did not get authorisation to repair my camera. They say they will get the necessary authorisation in the future, but that could be 2022 or later as they did not get a definite date from Sony... They sent me to Prime Service which says the FX6 is not covered by them...
    I´m now stuck with a broken camera and Sony can’t tell me nor my dealer where to send my camera to. We do run our business on Sony cameras since 1999 and never experienced such bad support!
    Please Sony finally send me an address to where I can send the camera for a speedy repair or send a new camera and let me return this brick with its defective fan.
