What if I double major in Economics and Finance?
Hi, I am an international Student and I already have a first degree (B.Ed), I intend to start another degree in Social Works (I love to be a problem solver) in Canada by 2021. What are your opinions about this? Is it a smart move? Thanks
My main problem with college isn’t actually money; *it’s wasted time.* I don’t want to choose a useless class, that gives me information I could have easily learned from Google. I want to take something *incredibly useful* , and go to a college that will give me something I couldn’t have given myself alone.
( I want to create a website for writers, an online e-commerce boutique, my own anime inspired clothing line, and an in-person v-steaming business with an online shop.)
Any advice?
You can learn to make a website off RUclips although what college does for you is making a structure but the best combination is to do College and learn on your own. Think of college as an ounce of knowledge.
However some business areas require a Higher Education diplomas either from a formal university or an institute. It is what it is

Lol same, but because of this channel I have a new respect for those going into some other degrees like philosophy. I previously thought they were just a bunch of burnouts or trust fund babies, I talked with a few since and they have a plan to go to law, military, etc.

No matter what, if you going into business you will need to be good at marketing, and solving problems in the market place and then get the word out in all the different ways via marketing. That being said you will need a product from the get go so a knowing how to code and build your own service would be beneficial but is it really worth the time when you could hire someone who knows how to do that already from overseas or something. Of course you could hire marketing service to do that for you, its seems knowing how to do both would be the smartest, but very long. Considering there are most likely ways around its

I am in 12th grade and I am very worried about my future. It's about 2 months to my final exams, but still, I am not able to decide what I am going to study in the future.
Talking about my goal; it's to own a successful business by making an entrepreneur. But still, I don't discover what business I will be owning, like; I am 17 and I have no idea what the business world is. I am just passionate about having a successful business on a large scale.
As my goal is to become a businessman, I am not able to decide what should major I choose. My family members and others are advising me to major in computer science. They are saying; "if you have the interest to own a business, you can choose this field, like many Entrepreneurs and businessmen have the background of CS. you can do businesses like web development, digital marketing, etc. and then you can swipe to MBA."
So this is my question for you, Should I major in computer science or in a business field like BBA, B.S Accounting and Finance B.S Management, etc to improve my business skills?

I already started a business already in which I am knowledgeable about since I worked on the industry for a while and I understand how it works. But I also want to expand my knowledge and I wanna try getting a degree that helps me create more business and manage my assets well. I’m interested in BA but it seems too broad and not specialized enough. Accounting seems great and I think I’d be a good idea to minor in finance or vice versa. Any thoughts?

I want to get into real estate investing and start a business eventually, but I need a job to raise capital to start. I’m debating between finance (because I have a passion for business and finance and it would help me with business) or computer science (I can make a high starting salary and invest it and hopefully quit after a few years and focus full time on my business and I can work remotely and have work life balance in the process but I don’t have a huge passion for comp sci). im an enterprising person, did a college career test and alot of it is enterprising and marketing but at the same time in my mind i know that few people are millionaires or billionaires. A degree isnt going to get you rich unless its engineering so im stuck choosing a degree.

Accounting and Finance is the base on which you can build entrepreneurship. Make sure your degree includes these teaches you how computing, accounting and finance are integral part of strategic management along with operations management and supply chain.

Thanks for answering me, I do like your channel, it’s helping a lot to plan it better.
My recommendation is, if you are interested in Medicine, and still think you can get a 3.5+ GPA with it, it’s not worth changing depending on how far into school you are. There are no set majors for medicine. You can major in anything you want as long as you get the schools medical school pre-requisite classes.
Schools love people who study engineering because it shows they are hard working and intelligent in most cases. However, if you don’t think you’ll be able to get a 3.5+ they don’t care what degree you have. Obviously there is other reasons to get into medical school such as a killer MCAT score, doctor recommendation letters, volunteer experience, etc. but usually the first one they look at is GPA. And if it’s not high enough, they have thousands of other applications to get through. They don’t care about your major at that point.
If you’re going into medicine, it is a big commitment. If you’re interested in other fields, it’s good to have a backup plan such as Software engineering incase you don’t go that route. But like I keep saying, Engineering is no joke, if you think you can get a high enough GPA go for it. And take the pre-requisites. If not, you need to decide whether or not to do medicine or engineering.
