I published a series of books 2 months ago, I found that I used an existing author name who was there since 2017. They begin to sell well but I think I have to unpublish them to avoid any possible disaster. Thank you Nuria for all the advice you're providing to us ;)
Hi Nuria , can you please guide me how many books to have on KDP for a reasonable earning? How many no-content or low-content books you uploaded before you started making money. And Do you have proper books on KDP? I am asking because you have been so kind in your info sharing and making videos based on your own experience and giving details? It's really not about the quantity. If they are good books, you only need a few. Although the more books you make, the better you should become at making them so that can help sales. I started making a little money about two weeks after I started but I started earning a good income in May 2020 and I started in November 2019. So it takes time.

the most asked question is "how do I get my account back" by that time its too late, the first minute of this video says it all "its a CONTRACT, YOU sign" to abide by, if don't read the small print you cannot complain. Yes... thankfully for me... a few hundred books (scammers) that copied one of one of my modest sellers, title, description etc EXACTLY THE SAME (but interior was garbage)... and they have now disappeared from Amazon. Thanks to Amazon staff for back and forth communication and helping me prove I made the book my self (with video from Procreate drawing App on the iPad Pro.)
I think it is great all these scammer/fake accounts gets closed down. There are way too many, and they just keep uploading garbage after garbage by the ten's of thousands per day.
Take hte time to make YOUR own book... and as for Creative Fabrics... try THOUSANDS of books with the same interior.... that website is scam/dishonest as far as I am concerned when selling "ready made" interiors.
Overall... people need to remember/learn... making the book is 5% of the work... you promoting the book, either free or paid is THE KEY.

Great Video. I realized that last 1 month there is no sale. What's wrong with my account? What is happening to someone?
I didn’t know that you can take a public domain book and modify it and make it your own and sell it. Is that really safe to do? I am cautious of copying anything and getting into trouble. I’ve seen others do it and haven’t gotten in trouble so not sure if that’s allowed or not. Thanks for sharing 😁😊
I don't recommend doing that. There are very strict rules on how you need to modify public domain books. Amazon shut down thousands of accounts not long ago of people who were publishing public domain books.

Yes. And change the recipes too. It is not just about Amazon catching you in the act. Think about your audience. When they see a different cover they are expecting new delicious recipes to try. If you were a customer, why would you spend money on the same content that is under a different cover? Wouldn’t you feel cheated and angry?

It's ok if it's two different people and they have different bank accounts. But I would contact Amazon first and explain it, then they can advise you.

I talk about my books in my social accounts, so it’s obvious that my friends want to buy them and review them to help me out. I don’t think this should be considered wrong
I think Amazon considers it wrong because your friends are likely to give a positve review rather than a negative. And if it was allowed, that is what people would do, they would get their friends to leave positive reviews even if the book wasn't that good.

I'm desperate, I write novels, everytime I write one I traduce them to Spanish and Portugues, so it's like publishing 3 books. I have like 12 books and 18 translations but I'm at the bottom still. The campaigns never work for me, I make 5 to 15 dollars a month, I have 3 years in KDP. I'm thinking to sell low content books now, how did you get so much traffic?
It's all about making books that people are looking for. So researching keywords is important, good titles and subtitles and good covers. The first year I made all organic sales. Once I started advertising, that gave my sales a good boost.

Is the word "perfect" cause problems with kdp?
Why is it when I publish a book that is niched down to less than 500 and I look through all 500 that I don't see my book? The search keywords are the same as my title, am I doing something wrong? My account is still active
I always wonder how copyright infringement is avoided. Amazon has millions of book on their site so it seems nearly impossible that a few features on a lot of books wouldn’t be similar from time to time.
Similar is not the same as infringement. If you use Disnley characters, it's infringement. It's usually very obvious. The rule of thumb is, if you didn't think of the idea, design, character, title etc yourself, then it's probably copyrighted or trademarked. If you have an original idea, just make a few checks but you're usually good to go. It's really simple. Most people who get caught do it deliberately or they didn't know the rules.

I get three public domain books and amazon rejected them all, even though I did modify them following the guidelines , I think it's cz there were too many books like them, I do think ppl did make money from public domain books when amazon just launched his kindle library but now it's a waste of time
I think publishing public domain books was always a bad idea from the start.
@@TheHomeBoss IDK ,a lot ppl did make tons of money from them ,even amazon sold public domain books, you may think "those are free , why you selling them to ppl" but a lot of them have many spelling mistakes and ppl always appreciate having illustrations to their books,especially kids books,let's not forget all Disney movies are all derive from public domain books

What if I designed a simple patterned notebook that I want to make available in multiple colors? What if I want to make each of those colors available in different formats (ex: make each color available in either college ruled or wide ruled). Am I allowed to do this? Am I able to have all the variations available on the product page?

No, you would be risking your account. Imagine if a buyer buys your book and then they want a different one, they buy another one of your books and they find that it is the same interior? It's not a good customer experience and Amazon can terminate your account for that reason. Only notebooks and similar can have different covers, not other types of books.

Looks like the low-content get-rich-quick scheme has evaporated.
It has never been a get-rich quick scheme. Anybody looking to make money quickly with low content will be disapointed.
Not necessary to modify you can conbine interior with others interiors
Hi Nuria, I am not sure if this is something you already went over in a previous video but, I would like to know if it is okay to use the same artwork/cover for more than one book. I have a few designs. I want to publish a planner at two different sizes. One large and one small. I created an interior that I will modify for each size. If the only difference is the size of the book, can the same cover be used for different books. I hope that makes sense. Thank you.
Yes, that is possible if they are low or no content, like lined notebooks. I would make sure that both books make it clear that they are available in different sizes. You can do this in the book description. I wouldn't do this if the books are higher content like colouring books, activity books or anything like that.

I know that we're not supposed to have 2 KDP accounts, but is it forbidden to have 2 Amazon accounts, where only one of them is connected to KDP? For example, I might want to separate my personal account and my KDP account for privacy reasons. I don't want my family members to know about my KDP account, so I'd rather just have a personal Amazon account for buying stuff and another one only for KDP. Would I be allowed to do this or is it considered against Amazon's rules?
That would be ok, it's only forbidden to have 2 KDP accounts. One personal Amazon account for buying and one KDP account is fine.

the only thing to avoid is creating two kdp accounts in the same name, if they're not the same name & same credentials, then even if you're using the same computer & network, you'll be alright
I would be very careful with that. Best to let Amazon know that two people in the same household are using KDP.
If the same "This Belongs to" Page is reused in multiple Low and No Content Books, will this get someone's account terminated?
That is only one page so it really depends on the rest of the book. You can use the same one in different books but I would make the effort to change them according to the niche, to make each book more unique.

My friends would genuinely read and review my book. Why is that bad? I couldn't stop them even if I wanted to
I don't think there would be much point arguing this with Amazon, they will stick to their rules. If you think about it, if it was allowed, people would get their friends and family to review their books, and unlike your friends, they probably wouldn't leave 'honest' reviews, they would leave good reviews no matter what. That is what Amazon is trying to avoid with this rule, which makes a lot of sense.
When I list my book,after it gone live on amazon,it does not show the back cover image,how do you make it show the back cover and give the look inside option.thank you.
Because there are now thousands of books per day being uploaded (most will never sell 1 copy)... the Amazon servers are overloaded and it is not taking many days before the back cover, and then inside is available to view.
Has anyone ever been approved for publishing but later dinged for something that you thought was okay?
For example, the "author name" for some of the books I recently uploaded (last week) contained words that aren't really names... but they still went through. I'm wondering if I should play it safe and change them on my own even though they went through the process to avoid any strikes against my account.
I'm not sure if they will shut you down outright for something that small or if they keep some kind of tabs on how frequently you "break the TOS".

Buying review is not ok but asking for ur mom or sister review well i don't see anything wrong with that ? My mom or sister they will buy my book once so what's wrong with that if they will leave me an honest review ??? On Amazon u have the right to ask ur customers for an honest review as long as i know!!!
it's not about what you believe, it's about amazon's terms and conditions. Read them.
@@Isildra i don't belive i know on Amazon if you can ask someone for an honest u can so otherwise i wouldn't be allow to ask ppl for a review on one of my interior books.... Amazon they want their sellers to get sales and reviews so they feel motivated and keep on producing others books..

You need to follow Amazon rules. Your mom and sister are not allowed to leave reviews and Amazon will not show them. And if you keep getting reviews from people connected to you, it will impact your account negatively. Amazon are very strict on review manipulation.

Do people not think the KDP Dashboard is very basic , where do you see how many books you have ie: the number of books published? Considering Amazon is so big it's pathetic compared to YT for instance . Sorry to rant Lol
You can find this information in your KDP dashboard under reports. I also use apps like getbookreport and KDP champ.
