A few tough words from the Prince of Preachers that raise a wry smile as well as an eyebrow!
We're not in the entertainment business
But are to use all the ordinary tools of human communication especially when delivering The Lord's most Eternally precious message
Avoid monotonal humming and rhythmical slumber inducing drumming (or dripping) he advises
In a more modern turn of phrase its been put :
"When you've struck oil...stop boring"
Lord may it be for all those who present Your Gospel...
To realise that It already has it's own stumbling block within it -
and not to inadvertently become the "Non-Salvic" replacement to it.
