In Z, Goku beat Frieza and Buu, beat Vegeta mentally, and lost to Cell. Of these 4 major fights he won most of them. This doesn't even consider the jobbers he fights such as Nappa and Recoome. Even if he doesn't always "win" he still has a high record
The worst thing Is that there are people that think that Toriyama wrote the movies,wich isn't even remotely true.

The Dragon Ball Movies are absolutely monstrous when scaled to the Anime or Manga. Seriously, you literally have:
* Broly destroying a Quadrant within a decade or two and being able to destroy the Universe (The mortal one, obviously not Universe 7 itself :P) within at least his lifetime.
* Goku gathering genki from the Sun to take down Lord Slug with a Spirit Bomb (Might not seem that crazy… until you remember that genki is an exponential increase).
* Meta Cooler... nuff said. Just watch Just A Robot's video to get a better grasp on just exactly how broken he is when coupled with the Infinite/Inaccessible Speed feat explained in the video.
* Janemba, a literal Reality Warper, the first Dragon Ball related one at that.
* Garlic Jr. and his hyperdimensional black hole, the Dead Zone o_O.
* Goku absorbing a Spirit Bomb to take down Super Android 13.
* The debut of both my favourite AND one of the best fusions in all of Dragon Ball, Gogeta. He may not be as OP as his Dragon Ball Super or video game versions, but goddamn is he so powerful. Tossing around with an at least Universally powerful Reality Warper is no easy task, after all.
* _DRAGON. FLIPPING. FIST. EXPLOSION._
* And I'm missing tons of more insane feats on top of all of that
I'm not even kidding when I'm saying that the movies are ludicrously OP. Almost nothing you see on even the DBZ anime can stack up to most of the ridiculous shit you seen on the movies. On top of that, considering Dragon Ball GT makes references to the movies with Cooler returning, Gogeta returning as a SSJ4 and Goku pulling off the Dragon Fist multiple times in the show, it might even make the GT continuity waaaaay stronger than what people actually think. How the hell the likes of SSJ4 Gogeta or Omega Shenron would stack up against Super with the benefit of the doubt that are the movies is completely up for you to decide.

Omega Shenron and SSJ4 Gogeta should be around universal since Omega Shenron was going to destroy it over time, Super Saiyan God was also risking universal destruction during his fight with Beerus so I'd say they are around that level.
I don't know how much stronger SSJB is than SSJG because there's no official multiplier but one thing is certain: it's by a lot (Jiren going from blocking everything with his finger to actually fighting).
So Super Saiyan Blue should beat them, especially combined with Kaioken.

And to think Xeno Goku despite all of that is still only the second strongest version of Goku right behind Capsule Corp Goku (Practically DBS Goku but in the DBH continuity).

Imo the strongest villain caracter in Z before the two modern Z movies battle of God's and resurrection F, is Hirudegarn, his abilities and the fact that he took down gotenks and the others easily.
I'd say Janemba. Janemba outclassed Goku as a super saiyan 3 and it required gogeta to beat him. Hirudegarn, whilst being one of my favourite movie villains, was beaten by ss3 Goku. He definitely was a cool villain with some unique abilities, and the fact that he was a giant and could move so fast was cool, but Janemba's dimension warping abilities and fighting capabilities give him the edge in terms of power.
Hirudegarn was gohan buu level. Ss3 goku couldn't beat him until they figured out its weakness. Trunks cut the tail off.
Now people try to scale janemba to super buu base. But they forget janemba wasn't going all out on ss3 goku. Was just born a moment before goku attacked. Needing gogeta/vegito > z fighters working together

Also M10 Gohan never trained, all he states in M10 is that he “should’ve powered up” since M8, which could just be in reference to him having acquired SSJ2.
I really like movie Goku cause he is atleast portrayed as the badass he should be and has finished of almost all the villians he faced also I like the false SSJ form but he is also broken in terms of power.

I think the "Dead Zone" is more magic than raw power.
The meta Cooler thing is weird, but it seems they though Goku enters some sort of "instant transmission universe" and Cooler and Goku fight there a bit because they have the same technique. Though they don't even put their fingers on their foreheads so...
As much as i disagree with the "Broly is strongest" mantra, his galaxy feat is kind of ridiculous. It's prbably the most out-there feat in the movies.
Goku was losing for most of the Hirudegarn fight like everyone else, but he discovers some "weakness" and wins. So maybe he's not quite as strong as Gotenks. However, dragon fist itself is Goku's op "tri-beam" move that he can just spam and do tons of damage.
Scaling in the BoG and RoF movies is a little different from the show and manga. They make it more clear in the film that Beerus was trying harder against Goku, while in the show they act like Goku merely intrigued him.

@@kairiley8520 I don't think either could work because the first Broly movie happened during the 10 days before the Cell games started, and Goku & Gohan was in Super Saiyan form throughout the whole thing. But they were in their normal forms in the first Broly movie
I know this video wasn't including BoG and RoF, but I discovered something...there was a 2013 interview with Koyama about what he thought of Battle of Gods...he said in that interview that he thought that movie made Broly (the same one he said was the strongest in the DBZ movies and anime) look like a pushover. So if "Koyama said it about Broly, therefore it's true" (which Seth and Geekdom didn't exactly agree with, but some insane Broly fans might) is someone's logic, they'd have to concede that Broly is a pushover compared to Battle of Gods. Either that or they're picking and choosing statements only when those statements support their points (and using "Koyama said it" in a cavalier (or ignorant) way).
Don't know if it's been done already but Geekdom, can you do a video on how you would reboot the series from dragon ball to super?

I think Goku absorbing everyones energy in the first Broly movie was the closest Goku had been to "God" form. They kind of did the ritual, with Piccolo being the only exception and gave Goku enough power directed to his stab wound was enough to beat something that was essentially unstoppable. They made Broly seem invincible and if he was it kinda makes sense he's near God level right? Idk I'm kind of using Canon logic though. This is my opinion about the whole Broly fan base.

Not to mention,Goku seems way more heroic in the movies than in the anime/manga. Not to mention,smarter. Guess this is why Akira Toriyama didn't like how the 90's Goku was but then again,movies weren't meant to be canon. The anime was fine in bringing that Goku he wanted.

Wait, whats up with the infinite speed cooler? I thought he said something like "huh you can do it to?" and then he teleported.
I was under the impression that "instant transmission" is actually going to different dimension where its space is relative to our own, but it is "smaller" in scale (lets call it instant space), so by sensing someones position you can move a little in the instant space and travel far in realspace, (time also works differently there as we percieve it as instant) so I though cooler could simply enter instant space just as goku and grab him there. Also in the movie cooler can predict where is goku going to teleport which tell us it isnt actually instant. Like the "trip" is instant in the sense it takes the same amount of time regardless of direction or distance but it still takes a second (probably less) to perform the full technique.

Lord Slug movie is not namek story line. This was actually the original super saiyan, before super saiyan. And it is set after the vageta saga.
The Movies just have Goku beat the villain and occasionally have Gohan, Goten, and Trunks beat the villain but Goku is always involved with it. I get it, his the main character but it gets repetitive and in the movies that vegeta plays a role in he comes late like piccolo in the movies, then does damage and then gets bodied by the villain.
The thing with the movies is it seems like they had side ideas that didn’t make the cut for the show and/or they wanted to showcase some awesome fights or show powers that we had never seen before.
10:15, I just noticed that Broly did Gohan the same EXACT way that he does Goku SSG in DBS: The Broly Movie

I mean. . . I have said something along those lines before. Like, remember how Arale rocked both Blue Vegeta and Blue Goku? And then also chopped the earth in half with no negative repercussions. And Beerus said he can't deal with gag characters? (This is an episode I disliked by the way)
What takes me out the DBZ movies is that everyone seems to be scaled down and Goku is scaled up. In World’s strongest, the suspension of disbelief that is Krillin and Gohan not being able to beat the bio warriors too much. Or that the machine was stronger than people who can blow up a moon, crush boulders, punch through mountains, etc. This tid bit was so crazy that TFS had to make it make sense.
In Broly 1, Gohan was suppose to be already stronger than Goku in SSJ. Nevermind SSJ2. In SSJ Gohan was dodging and tanking hits from Cell. But he was out in 5 mins.
Gohan got beaten around by Cell in SSJ he barely landed any hits

I've done a lot of research, watched chuck's video and been in discussions xeno goku in base is multiversal++ and cc goku is stronger. Db xenoverse and db heroes characters are OP af.
Janemba was meant to be the fourth Broly movie and I think its implied Broly happened there, which means between Bio Broly and Fusion Reborn Goku fought Broly and beat his ass so badly he didn't even wanna leave hell when the Otherworld and living world could interact.

Goku in Wrath of the Dragon is apparently stronger than Ultimate Gohan, because Gohan instantly falls but Goku ends up killing its STRONGER version.
