White hair makes me look genius as well. But this guy for real is a genius. White hair also makes me look non-minority, so that helps with life a lot of times.
Every once in a great while I come across something DEEPLY inspirational & this is MOST definitely one of them! I have spent some years on/off teaching myself everything from line art & value painting to photobashing techniques, 3d modeling from digital sculpting & poly modeling to recently trying to do CAD style modeling in Moi for concepting, rigging & texturing, the list goes on. And within the last year I have been trying VERY hard to find a workflow that works for me for concepting, trying to find a rhythm that is fun & allows me to generate stuff very fast. But as many artists know, sometimes we lose inspiration or life gets in the way. This last semester I took Calc 1 & I was never someone afraid of mathematics but I dont want it to CONSUME my life, so I took it thinking it would be fine. Sure enough I passed but boy was I wrong! It definitely demanded my full attention, more so than I had anticipated but thankfully its over & I can try to refocus my efforts back to art & I found this video just in time! Jama Jurabaev is the MAN, very beautiful work, every piece is full of life & energy, fun & interesting to look at, and you know just by looking at any of these artworks that his skill level is through the roof! This one 25 minute video will fuel me for the next year.
Happy to hear that!. Keep pushing the limits. I took Calc1 Calc 2 in uni. And failed them both in the first semester:)) I barely graduated from university, but it doesn`t mean anything. Set the bar and keep moving!:)
@@jamajurabaev6460 Oh wow really? Damn I surprised because I see such a touch of genius in your work but hey I guess it comes down to whatever you are truly passionate about & I bet if you were passionate about math then you would of done well. Only reason I did well is because I am under pressure & also early on I went thru a phase of obsession with maths so these classes should hopefully put that to rest because I prefer to focus on concept art ever since I discovered it.
Firs I heared russian accent. Then I heared surname with "aev" tail and then ... Tajikistan. Man, that's really cool that Tajikistan have sons like you!
Dang this dude is a true artist. I love his story and how he explains, so down to earth and plain :) Those "simple" drawings @2:22, just some scribbles, already look amazing!!!
As inspiring as Jama's presentation is here, and as simple as it may seem in his demos, I think this presentation is closer to a 'sleight of hand trick' than a 'quick tutorial/introduction' for people who dream about becoming 3D artists. The reason Jama is so quick and it looks awesome, is because he IS an artist. Give him a set of crayons and he would no doubt make something presentable in 20, hell 5 minutes. 3D software enables non-artists to create photo realistic, industrial designs in very little time as long as they have basic knowledge of some modelling and texturing. But as Jama proves here, it's not so much about the tools, but rather the vision. His funny remark "C'mon man, of course have have to be able to draw to use the grease pencil" could just as well have been "'Duude, of course you have to be an ARTIST to produce actual quality work". But it's cool to watch. One take away for me, and what I think is a good tip for anyone, is to do more work where we are less anal about minute detail and just try to work fast and focus on mood/lighting/composition. Something like the Terminator scenes can be done with some block modelling and Eevee.
Thank you so much Jura for bringing this into the light. Totally we agree on 10:12. That´s why I´ve posted a lot of basic tutorials for Blender's new users. I guess it´s time for me to show them full potential now that Blender 2.81 is on the makings....
Two separate talks talking about Blender VR modelling. Both talking about super effective Grease Pencil uses. Man, this is really gonna change things, isn't it. Super impressive stuff.
12:22 - Yes, Jura, Blender Institute took notes, and now Pablo Dobarro's branch is going to convert a lot of digital sculpters. Have you tried the Blender sculpt branch? Search for "sculpt" on blender.community on the Graphicall community. Probably you know this, but I´m leaving it for anyone who's curious to read this in the post. 16:17 - We now have remesher. Thank you Jura for suggesting this almost a year ago. :)
Blender is going to be the king of concept work before long. Great modelling and sculpting tools, powerful modifiers. But Grease Pencil really takes it to another level. Something else I'm excited about is the branch that's trying to merge sculpt and vertex paint mode. I think it's called QBVH vertex paint.
@@bohdan_lvov Ah, that explains it. The curriculum where I live in America doesn't talk much about anything that happened the Middle East from about after the 1950s. After that, they just focus on Berlin, the USSR as whole, Eastern Europe, Cuba, and America itself.
