Still the hardest champion in the series, still the best female champion in the series and despite being prepared, she is STILL a problem.......we DESPERATELY need champions like Cynthia again. Oh and to my one friend, she DOES have a personality lol. An awesome remix for the best champion and a soild late Christmas gift!
It's funny. I'd agree that she's the only good female champ, but… well… technically Geeta isn't the only champ in ScarVio. I'd say Nemona is also up there in terms of the best female Champs, even tho she's your rival. She still has achieved champion status soooo she's a champion in my book. And then there's Diantha… smh.
@@jupiterivan3433 I was about to mention female goku but considering that she still definitely fulfills the role of rival and since that everyone constantly keeps saying that she's not even an interesting rival, I keep forgetting that she is considered a champion but that's not really saying much if she's a champion yet the actual in game champion is a total joke.
@@RiverOfTheHeart yeah, actually. She’s a champion in a sequel and has very little weight in the game. Just because she's fleshed out in the anime doesn't excuse how lackluster she is in the games. In my mind when I think of Unova’s Champ I think Alder, not Iris. Just like I always forget that Wallace is a Champion.
Tbh, I always associated her character more with the piano etude that plays before fighting than with her actual theme. At least is still memorable. I don't even remember some of the newest champions themes lmao
@@lyricsghost2547 I definitely like the intro more than the actual battle theme. It's certainly more memorable than Diantha, Leon, Geeta or Nemona's and probably on equal footing to Kukui/Hau's for me. It's far below both the Gen 1 and Gen 3 versions of Blue, the Gen 2 and Gen 4 versions of Lance/Red, the Gen 3 and Gen 6 versions of Steven/Wallace (definitely my favorite) or either Alder or Iris's. Still a solid battle theme but rarely one I seek out.
@@swampert564 Blue/Lance/Red/Steven are just "too Pokémon". They're basically the foundation of chords that you would associate with the franchise overall in a musical sense, at least as far champions go. Imo, newer elite four memebers had better/more memorable soundtracks than the newer champions. 7 gen is one of these examples, it kicks ass. Imposing, mighty. However, I have to credit that gen 4 basically had to face that torrent of pure nostalgia and still came with it. It's a memorable theme at some degree. And if we're not talking about the champion theme itself, the piano before it might be as well some of the best and complex Pokémon songs ever. It's just too fitting that I find it's better overall. Gen 5? Did the villains/antagonists WAY better. I perfectly recall N/Ghetchis themes, and they're pretty solid. Adler/Iris, though? Hard too remember. Diantha/Leon/Nemona? I don't remember at all. Does that mean these are worse? I think not. If I actually listen to them, there's good stuff there. They're not mid by any means. But when we speak of "memorable" themes, truth is that some are stick to my brain in a major degree than the others. Is nostalgia to blame? Perhaps. But in Cynthia's case, I swear most people think about the piano rather to the actual battle theme. It's just as badass of an intro that it almost deserve to be her theme.
@@lyricsghost2547 Blue's champ theme is significantly more intense than damn near anything else in the series except maybe Gen 5 and Gen7's Elite Four themes. There's nothing "too pokemon" about it. Yes Cynthia's intro is great but it is not and never has been her battle theme. Gen 7 is probably the only time where the Elite Four has a decisively better theme than the champ (though one could make an argument for Gen 5 and Hoenn's also rules). Complainimg that people like Gen 1-3 music because "nostalgia" while also praising Gen 4's music seems disingenuous at best.
@@swampert564 Nah, when I was taking about nostalgia, I didn't mean to refer the whole community, but only to my own possible bias. The "too pokémon" was to praise the selection of chords the earlier gens have, that they're so fitting and you would recognize anywhere. It also was made with the hardware limitation I mind. I have heard many remixes and stuff, but there's something about the GBA trumpets that still to this day, I'm in love with. And yes, Gen 5 and gen 3 elite four themes also rock. They're definitely underrated.
The Queen of Pokemon and her godly battle theme remixed by the god of awesome remixes. An award-winning combo. What's not to love?
When you enter the wrong house in Undella town, but you find the perfect remix

Did you guys forget about Iris?
@@RiverOfTheHeart No but I put her in the same category as the later champions because not even she's difficult when compared to Cynthia.

Amazing cover as always, Koki. Incredible work
Goosebumps the whole time 💛🖤
Excellent work! One of the best battle themes.

If there was a DS Pro, this is what it would sound like, excellent rendition.
I have some PTSD from her Garchomp, but this remix heals it.
She's never had my favorite champion theme but it is a good one. Great remix as always.

An iconic one, but absolutely amazing nonetheless
Great choice of remix 👌
