Sure an RV vacation would be fun but I really wanna see the inside of the camper. Looking forward to a video of the interior.

Agreed!! They’ve priced themselves way out of everyday folks budgets.

@goneawol7498 which means they are even too expensive to buy used... I'm all for you get what you pay for but it is a bit much

@jodymyers1705 it is till you see how well they are built. Had a associate who had his on his f-350 and got hit by a vehicle that crossed the medium strip. Knocked the motor and both axles out of his truck. Camper slid about 400 ft on its top. They put on new happy Jack's, replaced the ac unit , and solar panels and TV antenna, 8 hours in the body shop to fix the gouging in the gel coat on the roof and had it back on the road in 17 days.

@@jodymyers1705my new 10-2 dry bath with solar and generator was $79,900.00 then you still need a 450 or 550 series truck to carry it on. A one ton truck (350 series trucks) will not carry it with out major modifications like air bags and compressor, over load springs, sway barsfront and rear, timbres, and switching out the front springs to heavier ones. Then the truck still dosent like carrying that much weight

I managed to get my hands on a 2021 8-11EX and they are worth it. Very well built, a real plus if you do winter camping.

Dollar for dollar they are the best truck campers out there. We had a big foot for several years and it was just one problem after the next. Doors didnt fit rite and a whole list of problems. We sold it and ordered a northern lite, it was like night and day.

You will need a 3/4 ton and up for the 8-11 models.

      The 10-2 needs a 4500 or f-450 a 5500 or f-550 would be best for the 10-2.
A f-350 will not carry it unless you do a crap load of mods to it. Been there done that. I switched to a ram 4500 to carry mine on.

@@boondockingamerica an F350 does just fine. We run a fleet of one-tons that we use to transport the campers all over North America every day. As well that’s what we use for our personal vehicles for camping. As long as payload matches up you are good to go. We are just not fans of Ram 3500 due to their suspension.

    • @boondockingamerica

@NorthernLiteTruckCampers I think that's one of those things that we have to agree to disagree on. The f -350 works if you add a bunch of upgrades to it. I went down that road with my f-350 and decided it was not worth it on the new truck. Like you I would never buy a ram 3500 though. My 2021 f-350 needed close to $10,000.00 in suspension upgrade to make it work correctly. A stock f-350 might work for the occasional or weekend camper. I am a full timer. So my needs are a little different than most. Of course that is why I went with a northern lite. Northern lite does not have the failure rate of other truck camper in my opinion.

My 2011 F350 with a new Hellwig sway bar and a set of Timbren's ($1000 total cost) works fantastic. Sold my Dodge 3500 for this set-up, 100% satisfied.
