Born in prison into a chaotic childhood and on street drugs by age 8, Lee Marvin Hitchman hustled his way around deadly Manchester gang members including Moss Side to support a 20-year crack addiction. Kidnapped, stabbed, attacked by a gang leader's dog are just a fraction of the incidents that Marvin survived.
I have to say I'm only 1/2 way through Lee' & Ciara's podcast but wow ,what a story and so glad you're allowing Lee tell his story to such a huge audience.I hope that people as a whole start to realise that Cocaine n Crack are the same and generally it's vaunerable ppl who are likely to use it is as Lee explained a very powerful botanical stimulant and is very addictive , just as Heroin is , however Cocaine seems to be more socially acceptable, totally wrong in my opinion and as an recovering addict I talk with experience.Big up Lee n Ciara n there family.Big up Shaun n Jen . Excellent ,so far n no doubt I'll make another comment as I get towards the end of the podcast.💯🇬🇧☮️❤️🥊🙏🏻🙏🏽👀💰👹💥🦍💥🌍🌎🌏💫🙈🙉🐒🙊👍🏼
I listened to this on Spotify a month or so back and I came here hoping for part 3 and to put a face to the voice of this amazing man. He has been through so much madness yet he seems like a lovely beautiful person who is full of love to give out. A handsome man too so the girl he is with there must be happy to he with a gentle loving man who would literally die to protect her. A true warrior who battled addiction and is winning a war that never really ends for us addicts. We will always be addicts and our war is keeping sober and Marvin is doing so well. GOD BLESS YOU LEE MARVIN YOU BEAUTIFUL MAN.
this guy is a legendary man i’ve met him in person and spoke to him over messages, he’s such a great lad from a first impression perspective he has came such a far way and we should be proud of him on a real one, he’s a top man seriously is.

With regard to your addiction issues - we all have them. What counts is if you can find the strength to finally reject the thought of using whatever addiction floats your boat mate x

I was adopted, it's a long story, but I was one of the lucky ones going to loving parents, who I lost both last year (2022). My biological brother found me 10 years ago, who didn't get adopted and was a big heroin addict, even though I had a good, but strict upbringing I ended up a heroin addict and only got clean after 27 years in 2019. My biological parents were heroin addicts and my biological sister who got adopted to a different family found me on Facebook in 2014. It's a long crazy story. This is one of my favourite podcasts Shaun, because I can relate to a lot of things your guests say. I also spent time in Arizona (Not jail though), in Scottsdale, down the west coast to Alberquerque, using heroin with a guy called Al. We were taxing dealers (well he did, cause I was 9 stone wet through). I ended up selling my passport and had to get home via the British Consulate in 2000.

Reminds me of my younger days, over strict father, wetting the bed and getting bollocked for it by him, nicking from shops, break ins, only shops and factories, doing the dying fly at a punk gig and loads of people rushed over to watch me instead of the band, I was about 15, glue sniffing (it was amazing), later dope and speed, but never went down the gang route, the odd night in the cells was enough to tell me I could not do prison, good on you Lee for getting through it

IF YOU EVER READ THIS MARV THEN WELL DONE GETTING CLEAN FROM ONE ADDICT TO ANOTHER. GREAT TO HEAR SOMEBODY CHANGE. sounded like a pretty terrible dude while younger in addiction but i doubt many people will judge after watching this and knowing you have put all this lifestyle behind you bro. its so hard to get clean.. its so easy to get lost.. for years.. NEVER EVER DO STONE AGAIN MAN YOU KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN. WELL DONE STAY CLEAN AND BUILD A LIFE OF LOVE INSTEAD. PUT YOUR OBSESIONS INTO BECOMING THE BEST HUMAN YOU CAN. BLESS UP

My addiction is raw open and uncut - it doesn’t sit well with me that I used to behave in such a manner - however I stole because I was a true product of my environment. I believed that the world as a whole had given me this drug addiction so I could rightfully take what I wanted - when I should of known better, I should of known that there are actually good hearted decent people in this world who are prepared to give you a leg up along the way if you have the nerve to just ask. thanks again mate
Don’t forget lee you behaved in that manner for all the reasons you explained. do your best to think positive and move forward because like I say you deserve it because all what you went through from the start.take care mate and all the best for the future 👍🏻
