In 2021, the real GDP per person for the US was a bit more than 70 thousand USD vs a bit more than 46 thousand USD for the UK. It will rather be surprising if these salary comparisons were to show similar pay levels for similar occupations in both countries. It seems your comparisons show consistency with the economic data. In other words, the UK and the US are not on the same level in terms of the size economic pie and the slices thereof.
I’m a caregiver in Connecticut and No Agency pays 14 an hour now.I work in a facility as a Caregiver and I’m paid 22dollars an hour.The minimum is 15dollars an hour not 14 anyway.And I also hv a private job which pays 35dollars an hour which I do nights
Hi Comforter, so I think it depends on the agency you work with. And for live in caregivers they mostly don’t get that much per hour because of the accumulated weekly overtime. But live out caregivers get more in the same company I work with since their overtime is not fixed, you only get overtime as and when available.
