If you get the KFC’s (Particularly the 2.0 versions of Ramhorn and Steeljaw) version of the Autobot Tapes, you should do a comparison video review with Fanstoy’s version.
Ngl I don’t think size is an excuse for hollowness. Hasn’t been for a while considering what legends have been doing. If magic square can make a cassette bot the size of my thumbnail without waffles, fanstoys should be able to with an mp scale bot
Forgot I had these guys on pre-order and picked up the XTB versions on a whim. Night/Day difference. FT versions are soooo much better. Love the use of diecast. Easy decision on which to keep.
Good review. I just got mine as well. Are you going to get the Gold Plated Chest piece for your FT Blaster? If you do, will you make a quick Short video of it? Won't be for like 2 months from what i understand, so who knows if it will be relevant anymore...lol. I don't understand why they didn't include that with the main release. I am looking foward to MMC finishing the Autobot tapes. I just got notification that Lupus is dropping soon as well, which will be interesting to see if there are any changes from the original. I really need to see these guys side by side with the Takara Decepticon tapes. Anyone found that comparison anywhere? Or maybe Bobby can do it during a VS with MMC?
I know articulation is tougher for something this size, but the lack of lateral articulation in the quadrupeds is a bit disappointing. I'm not expecting miracles but while finicky I've always been pretty please with what Takara pulled off with Ravage. Ramhorn in particular feels like a pretty insignificant improvement over the G1 toy besides the integrated missile racks.
Seeing these makes me want to cancel them and go and stand outside MMC's factory and scream "where the hell are my autobot tapes!!!" I can't believe we still only have one general release out of the 4. Edit: just cancelled it, I'd be buying them for the sake of it, I'm not playing that game.
The paint looks good, but I'm not very impressed with these tapes (especially Ramhorn). For me, the MMC tapes are the way to go (except for the birds). That said the KFC 2.0 tapes I think look pretty good. To my surprise.

There's probably a comparison with decepticon ft vs takara frenzy n rumble are the same to see that

You forgot to press the buttons on each fig that mass shifts, downsizing for Legends Scale. Geeez.
