I've been looking for compact binoculars. Appreciate seeing this unboxing. Well done. Such a shame these are made in China as these days I'm seeking out items made anywhere else but China. Keep up the good work. Enjoy watching your videos.
Good luck on your search, unfortunately you'll have to pay a pretty penny for binos not made in China. Check out the TRACT TORIC (made in Japan) a beautifully made set of binoculars with Schott HT glass and of course the amazing Swarovski's (made in Austria). Thank you for commenting Sterlingstreamliner.
I'm not sure what you mean by backlsh focus? If you mean that the focus moves on its own, mine does not. The focus is sharp and does not move when set. I'm very happy with this pair of binos. I hope this helps.
@@JitenMachhua-u7j I have not heard of this problem before. My focus wheel turns very smoothly with the perfect amount of resistance. If your binos were dropped or bumped in the field this could lead to a problem, however they are pretty rugged. If your pair is still under warrenty Vanguard should fix them. Good luck.
After using these binoculars on a daily basis since October, I'd say the hinge is perfectly tight and shows no sign of slack or ever becoming loose. I have noticed there's a pinching point from the hinge when the binos are opened all the way, but I don't find that a big deal. Otherwise, I've been extremely happy with the build and quality of this pair of binoculars.
@@kudubudu5551 Vanguard xf1042 wygląda ładnie i kompaktowo. Najlepiej, jeśli to możliwe, przetestować je w sklepie przed zakupem lornetki.
I've had the ED 2 10x42 for about 3 years now, Hoya glass they are optically superb and the build quality is excellent, they are a hidden gem and punch way above their price range .
I agree. I'm extremely happy with the glass and the build quality of these binos. A friend who owns an alpha bino could not believe how sharp these Vanguards are. That's of course not to say they can measure up to top German or Austrian glass in any way. Thanks for commenting jezztech.
Thanks for commenting Ivan. The price is now actually, as of today, with tax, $728.06 CND. That's the high price of being Canadian. It's still less than some Ziess and Leica binos that are made in China. ;-)
@@mycompasstv Thank you for your response and clarification. Either way, it's still a lot of money. Personally, i still prefer German binoculars for presicion and quality, however I enjoyed your demonstration and analysis.
In fact I do talk about the optics in this review, they are terrific. I've used these binos for a while now and they are fantastic. Thanks for commenting.
@@mycompasstv Glad you like them. I updated my last comment. It's amazing the quality you can get under $500 today. I feel like I stole my Endeavor II's for $250- and I got them from an authorized dealer so full warranty. I bought cheapos last time and they broke.

This was nothing less than fascinating!
Too kind, thanks Ian. 😂
Does This Vanguard endeavor Ed IV binocular has backlash focus, focus is not smooth??

@@mycompasstv I mean that The focus wheel of this binocular is very hard it doesn't work,

Helpful tips here!
Thanks 😂
How would you say the hinge tension is? Looks rather loose and sloppy, no?
