I think reminding myself you have two small kids makes the fact that these get made at all remarkable. I know we tease you about how far back these have gotten, but the alternative of just "not" getting them at all is far more unpleasant!
3:03 WHAT. I *NEVER* expected you to talk about my literal favorite game of all time! I play the actual tabletop game with my family all the time. We have every expansion and always keep an eye out for when a new one is coming. I’ve also played the web version with my dad, and I like it, but I have to say the thing it’s really missing is the inherent tactility of playing the physical version. Although it is nice that you don’t have to set it up and put it away lol. I didn’t know there was a mobile or a Steam version though, so thank you for that info! I do also love Balatro! And I agree, the difficulty does feel really front-loaded. My least favorite part of it is always the first two rounds, where you haven’t had a chance to build up money and/or get any decent jokers, so they inevitably always play out the same way if you don’t get screwed by early-game RNG.
Games I played this month (June 2024): - Orcs Must Die 3 - great fun, such a "gamey game". Fun to play with fiance. - Continuing Lorelai and the Laser Eyes - fantastic mystery, cant wait to keep going. Sometimes creepy but love unravelling everything and the sense of accomplishment every time you understand the puzzles. - Continuing Life is Strange: True Colors. Not gripping me as much as 1 + 2 did so far but im only into Episode 2 so theres still plenty to go. Still gotta love the vibes. - After Us - a neat little game with some nice flowy movement and an interesting world. And i slightly played Extinction (the one with big ogres called Ravelii), Disney Speedstorm (trying to find something to play with fiance) and Multiversus (sick of the grindy Pay2Win structure and the massive skill jump when going into a higher difficulty on the PvE mode).
I had played a little bit prior, but I did my first full playthrough of Elden Ring on 4 player seamless co-op, and yes, you are right, it’s great when everything you do is powering up someone’s build in some way
Your video just came across my recommended feed. Right off the bat I’m enjoying your content. I follow another account that does a “what I watched in (month)” for movies so I’m glad I found a channel that does something similar but with video games.
I have my anatomy final in less than 8 hours and I am sleep deprived/ getting up early to study more. I will always find the time to watch these videos thank you Razbuten
Balatro is on my wishlist. Not the type of game I typically go for, but so many people have been enjoying it, that it seems like even those who aren't into card videogames shower it with praise.
Yo Dominion?? Was not expecting to see that here. I’ve been playing the daily set in the app every day since the game came out while I put my son to sleep for his nap. For that one game with a fresh new set every day, it’s an amazing value
Ironic thing is that most Balatro tags are actually pretty useless besides early game and most of their benefits really do not outway opertunities to get money, tarot cads via purple seals, scalr your jokers or free planets thanks to blue seals. Only worthwhile one is probably negative
While I think ER Reforged is rad I'd say I had more fun doing Seamless Co-op randomizers with my husband. We're eagerly awaiting both mods getting the DLC updates so we can potentially find the new weapons out in Limgrave or something for a full run.
Have you played Slay the Spire: Downfall? Just want to make sure since it's amazing and even after 70+ hours in the base game makes it feel fresh and interesting. It's a community mod btw not a dlc or anything, in case I got anyone's hopes up (It is similar in quality tho).
raz i enjoyed this video! however, i have a small bit of nitpicky 250 hours of balatro criticism for you. your point at 1:53 where you say that failure is front loaded due to lack of jokers does not ring true when playing on higher stakes. the gameplay you used shows who i'm assuming to be you playing on solely white stake - the easiest difficulty. i am not knocking you for this, i myself play on the lower stakes to get ludicrously powerful hands because big number. what i am disagreeing with is on higher stakes, purple, orange, etc. runs die at any point. whether your ace five of a kind build doesn't draw any multed cards on a extra large blind ante 6, or your econ never takes off on ante 4, i think failure is mostly RNG, but broadly based across the entire run rather solely in the early stages.
Just my 5 cents - add timemarks and chapters to your videos. If you played Baltaro and I could'nt care less about it, I want to know when you start talking about a different game. I reached your video from youtube homepage by the way.
enjoy your april.
And may and June heading into July😂
LOL
Will do!
Thank you, hope you’ll catch up with the missing months soon!

Can't wait until the time you have to specify the year as well as the month, great video either way! :D
lol hoping not to get that far behind. had a second kid in march so this has not been a priority but hoping to catch up soon.

Honestly if anything it's hilarious to get these videos so late
Look, I know it's April Fool's day. You can't get me with a fake upload date.
Raz: "no two dominion games ever feel the same"
Chapel: *exists*
Okay true
The base set sadly doesn’t hold up to repeat plays as well as the expansions
@@tbahr123back in the day the board game came out I played so many games without an expansion yet.
I just want to show appreciation for the music from Going Under used in this video. I played through it recently, great game

this year has been longer than I thought.
Balatro is so fun! It really scratches the Magic the Gathering itch while also teaching me a bit of how to play Poker and feeling like Slay the Spire
Dominion on mobile. Even as you described it, I can still get behind an ability to play it digitally.
Yeah, it's like...when something is so good, it doesn't matter if it is being presented kindly badly lol. Digital Dominion just has tremendous upside.
Playing with friends is something else. Cool that you got to play ER with more people.
coordinating in discord vc in multiplayer games is so fun
I like this series, here's hoping you don't decide to stop doing it, here's to a great april

Do it! It’s awesome
Elden Ring co-op feels UNPLAYABLE without the seamless co-op mod. Fromsoft needs to hire that modder!

Dominion is one of the besttttttt card games ever of all time. Love itttt.

I hope this series continues. But you do what's best for you.
Dominion is a powerhouse of a game. I feels like its THE deckbulding board game :-)
Really nice reviews, as always!
I can't go back to Dominion after playing Puzzle Strike, which is also digital and (I believe) on sale now!
Thanks Raz. And congrats on your second child!
I didn’t know it was March
Cant wait for may to come around

Love your videos man!
Deckbuilders aren't for me, but I love your love for Dominion
You should check out the upcoming The Bazaar
It's a deckbuilding 1v1 game, Dominion meets Hearthstone

Yes, failure is a little bit too front loaded but I fail in the later rounds all the time. I've failed a couple times in the final round of ante 8.
Not going to lie, I've never heard of Balatro until now 😅
Raz, you should really check out Nine Sols!
