I'm still hoping Dubas can swing the trade for Ehlers & Mcgrorty, I really believe that could be the piece that completes the puzzle.

don't forget he is a maritime canadain. as one, here on the east coast, we believe in 'home is where the heart is'. pitt is his home in the usa now. why give up being a hero and role model for an entire city?

I would like to see Jarry and Eller moved and trade for Gustavsson and Rossi, but I can't see Dubas doing that, as much as I would love it. I think they're going with Jarry next season, but might move Eller. I also personally wouldn't mind if Dubas takes a flier on Laine when he gets released from the NHLPA Assistance Program.

You immediately get worse if the dragon goes. He is their only defender. If they trade him, they better have a better plan than griz.

Absolutely. It would be foolish to trade him before we’re in a full blown rebuild in 3-4 years (full blown as in the core is gone). His value will still be where it is now, or near enough.

Sidney Crosby wants to win. I cannot blame him for adopting a bit of a wait-and-see attitude.

When you’ve got a boatload of defensemen who can’t play defense, why in the world would you trade or let Pettersson go? You’ve got a goaltender who sometimes can’t stop a puck if it was the size of a beach ball on some nights! The goaltender needs help defensively! Karlsson is useless, and Letang is almost as useless defensively, so I think you’d better try to work some magic on one of the offensive defenseman before you think about moving Pettersson.

It’s about trade value now. The window has been shut since 2018 & now they need young talented picks to stock the system.

Because we need to get future assets lol. Let’s just keep players on expiring deals when we suck and aren’t contenders. Even if we are in a playoff spot we should move him

If he's as superstitious as he seems I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't resign until the 7th of next month
