I totally agree I feel loc count does matter ❤ you have beautiful locs and it goes with your hair texture and density! When I started my Microlocs I knew I wanted them smaller but not "sisterloc" small so once I completed my hair I ended up with 276 and I 4c high density hair and honestly I cant imagine to have done them any smaller. So basically count does play a big part of what kind of loc and look you want while keeping in mind of your hair type. Great video! 🎉

This is super helpful sis. I'm 4C high density and am installing mine now. I started with 113 a few weeks ago, but have continued to split. I realize I want small but not outside of the 200s. I don't want my hair too full and with high density I believe I can get fullness without having to retie 400 or 500 locs. I'm also starting with bra strap length hair. So this will be a good balance for me as a DIYer who doesn't want the lion look😂. Full but not overwhelming for me
@cynthiaholland13 yes indeed, decide on around how many locs you want, keep in mind you hair and its texture, then you can divide by a number (sections) to see how many locs will go in each ... THE shrinkage is real okay 🤌🏾😭🤣 lol ! The 1st couple months I was like whattt ? I didn't start off with long hair but it humble me real quick should most definitely check out some of my DIY videos!
I’d still consider yours microlocs. I also have fine, low-density hair. I started with the look I wanted based off the locs I loved, and did my best to reverse engineer from there to get close what I hoped was a good starting place. My goal was fullness overtime, I have 421 locs 😂. Will be a year next month and loving my hair so far
