i've always been fascinated with the idea of taking your time in this thing called life. i've met a handful of people who seems to be happy and content and i realized it's because they're in no rush to do or try things that don't really matter or don't add up to them as a person. i guess what i'm saying is life still happens during the slow moments, you know? slowing down is not stagnation. there's no shame in going through the mundanity of life because everyone eventually does, and the more we realize that those moments are not just the "in-betweens", the more we will be at peace.
This video is aesthetically very pleasing and gives off a vibe of tranquility. It made me reflect on the pace of my own life. With this kind of quality, I am surprised this channel has not been discovered by a wider audience yet. Please continue making these kinds of videos, you are very talented!
Today is the 24th of January 2024 and this video has been discovered by half million of subscribers. And even more. As Riza says 80% of people watch her videos unsubscribed.
im a teenager, ill try, i need to try, life is way ahead of boys, school drama, looks, grades. life is the art of simplicity, life isnt exerting yourself everyday, or sitting on the corner, gaming every hour. life is doing what you enjoy, by that i mean getting sunlight, laghing atleast once a day. thankyou riza, this helped, ill try honestly.
I read the quote by C.S. Lewis almost a year ago now, and I remember pausing and thinking, "Wow." Just that, but still. I had forgotten about it but then stumbled upon this video, which could not have come at a more perfect time. So many big things are happening in my life that the small, mundane things have become like background noise. You have reminded me to stop and be present. I think that there is happiness to be found in the magic of life in the smallest things, like sharing tears with a friend, being served or serving your family or friends, going to work, consuming and creating art, and waking up in the morning. Life is magical! Thanks for the reminder ;)
Soooo beautiful! This really is a season of slowing down; It's hard not to get caught up in the eye of the storm sometimes, feeling like we're stagnant while everything moves chaotically around us, pulling us in every direction!
It took me a month of me finally being on my own to learn this ❤ if you don't find joy in the small things, the big things when you get them, won't matter as much as you thought they would. You'd have nothing to look forward to once you reach the top and fall into an empty void ❤
Everyday,we rush and stress about things that happens in life. But,isn't life about enjoying the moment, making mistakes, learning from it and so many things .We are so busy stressing about life.
Whenever I feel like I'm getting caught up in the busyness of life again, I slow down and watch this video again... Riza you have no idea how much your videos helped me. Thank you. - Love from Australia
As an interior designer I also feel the same way, everything I design should look perfect or else I will feel like I'm lacking something. But then I've figured out that enjoying every step of designing or creating a video makes the whole sense. When I started to pay attention to my efforts and appreciating them is when I finally felt proud of my work💕💕
I left my laptop to play your videos while cleaning my photos app for storage, I didn't know by the end of it I'd feel emotional. while also looking at the many memories and people in the photos I'm seeing and swiping across my screen. I always pushed photo albums aside, and I'll take this as a sign to do it. I missed physically touching big and heavy photo albums flipping the pages, I loved seeing handwriting on photos, may it be who the people in the photo are, the place, what was happening, etc. a piece of that moment written permanently. photos that permanently carry a piece of the past. This feels like free therapy and gave me a nudge.
This really resonated with me. I was so hungry for the life I looked forward to. I was ready to take on whatever life had to offer. I was ready for life to begin. But life gives us exactly what we need. I am currently in my gap year. I cried so hard for I thought this made me lost track of whatever was waiting for me. Right now, in the gap year I loathed, I see myself evolving. Trying things I’ve never done before. I’m more patient and my vision for my future is much clearer. I am not falling behind, I’m just slowing down and growing as I go.❤
I realized this is what's truly important in life. To focus, to relax and to wait. Rushing can be very damaging to really anything. Whether it be relationships, job opportunities, immediate decisions that feel like you HAVE to answer them. Just. Relax. And be patient. I've made countless mistakes just by rushing. It's something that should be gradually developed and not something that is forced. It hurts not just me but the other person as well. I hope this lesson is a reminder from now until the rest of my life to just, slow down. I don't care who's doing better I don't care who's in a relationship I don't care about the what ifs and what nots. And if it's right for me, I'll take that chance and take it slow.
18.7.2023 I don’t know how this video appeared in my RUclips but i guess this is all a sign of our creator. He really wanted me to slow down in my life and take time for everything. Thankyou for making a video like this to make people good about slowing down in life.
Yeah! You're right, girl! This is what I've been focusing on recently... to simply enjoy the little things and just exist ✨️ Although I used to be a freak planner who's fighting to get all the so-called important things in life, I'm slowing it down these days and I'm trying to find peace at every single ordinary moment of being a human 🌱 Thank you for your aesthetic video 🫶
Riza, what you're doing is simply incredible and astonishingly mesmerizing! Thank you for sharing your stories with us! Your videos have the power to support people in the most enchanting way possible! Thank you!
This feels like one of those movie intros where the main character narrates what they’ve learned over the course of the movie, and then the movie begins. Amazing work with this video. Your shots are beautiful! You’re making me want to go and take a day to watch the world.
Just came across this video and my oh my…you are soooo talented!. The way everything fits together, the soundtrack, storyline, the entire shot and production. Everything is so aesthetically pleasing!! It’s like watching a movie😂 . Not forgetting the message!. This is so beautiful.I’m so proud of you for bringing this masterpiece to life❤️🩹
Besides the aesthetic of the video, the shots, the music, the narrative and storytelling, the style of 'back voice' i'm constantly rewatching it because of the message; Always a form of remembering myself to slow down. This is truly a masterpiece. Thanks Riza!
I rarely comment on youtube but this video is exactly what I needed (thanks youtube algorithm) 3 years after this was published I find myself in your words and feel each line you are writing as if I had written them. Thank you very much for this cinematic masterpiece, it feels like a breath of fresh air amongst the overwhelming short entertaining videos one is usually exposed to.
This video came up on my timeline just in the right time. This sentence particularly hits hard, "Everything we make feels like it has to be amazing to the point where we almost get afraid to make mistakes. And we lose that sense of play in the beginning." Thanks for making this, Kariza!
I definitely needed this. I felt like my head has been muddled with all my perceived problems in college, that I only saw this tangled mess when I started journaling about it. I'm afraid that the fog will come back to haunt my head, and it probably will, but I will relish in this feeling of clarity and peace after watching your video:)) Thank you for being such an inspiration, Ate Riza! Much love from a fellow Filipina🫶🫶
Thank you for sharing. This video popped up timely. I was trying hard to slow down and everything in this video reminded me to do so. Indeed the small moments matter too, just like how though I’m lying down with my facial mask on, my heart feels warm when I watch your video 🧡 I hope more people find their everyday peace
This meant so much to me. Was feeling a lot anxious today. This video came in the recommendations after I woke up in the morning. Thank you for existing.
"On some days, i feel overwhelmed. Thinking i'm not doing enough, and at the same time, feeling like everyone else is doing so much more. But, is it worth doing other things, if it means doing more, even if it's not really what you want to be doing" Yeah i get what you mean. The world is filled with so many responsibilities and adversities it feels like you don't have time to think straight and it overwhelms you. Each day that goes by you feel like there are other people revolving around your life that have so much more to do, a lot more significant things to accomplish. And you're right, sometimes society expects you to do a lot of things. Such as going to school, going to university to get a degree just to confine yourself to a job that you're obligated to work at everyday for currency. After you've studied for so many years and gained the respectable degree to partake in a high-paying job, what then? You make a lot of money, but what are you gonna use that money for after you've already exhausted everything you've been wanting to do? Doesn't life seem so obsolete after that? It's a matter of perspective and how someone perceives life. But that's just my opinion on this current system.
Hi, funny how on a sunday morning ( Philippine time) , locking myself in the bathroom, with a book and some sticky notes hoping I could have some peace , I was just about to browse some feel good music to get me going but this came on my recommendation and I'M LOVING IT. Maybe because I'm a journal-person , I don't have many friends, but got much to say , so I tend to really talk to myself through my journals, and this really amazed me. This place feels like coming home . Thank you Riza 🤍
Riza, I really appreciate your acknowledgement of losing your sense of play in creativity, getting caught up, and forgetting to recognize the small parts that make up our lives. I resonate with a lot with this approach to life and I've been making a lot of effort the last few years to sprinkle my week with chances for interactions, learning, and reflection. I hope you're still taking this perspective with you moving forward and thank you for putting this thoughtful reminder into words!
Thank you so much! Your video and atmosphere, words - it’s warm to my heart. Then I saw it, and listened you, I was hug you and all beautiful of your heart. Thank you.
Hey Riza, I am a huge huge fan of your content and it's so relatable to me and everyone in today's world... thanks a lot for making such great content that is helpful to stay satisfied. 💙
I've been curious about slowing down. I was watching this video and was getting frustrated, because I feel that I'm unable to. With kids and obligations it's daunting to find time for yourself. But there are moments in between where maybe I can steal a little bit of time for appreciation and observation. I'm gonna try and schedule some more time for chilling. Great video! I'm glad I found this channel.
people often find themselves confused and not in a clear state of mind... Iam trying to find the happiness and peace but what truly is that Iam trying to figure out day by day, sometimes as you said I too feel overwhelmed, and feel like Iam worth of nothing but as I think practically life has more things and that keeps me moving on and let all things pass, forgetting something and moving on is the most difficult thing ever but the fact that we build courage and ignore things for better keeps us more closer to self love.........
I resonate so much with what you've said! I came to similar conclusions some time ago and I wish I'd understood it sooner. But hey, we're learning through our whole life and that's what makes it interesting
I can totally relate to the whole Sunday thing. I feel lstressed out and worthless if i dont go out or I dont do sowmthing meaningful. I hope to one day learn how to go with the flow and enjoy the small things. 😊
Thank you for theis video I felt a strange feeling when I saw it and the words in it were real, especially when you said that inner peace comes when you are satisfied.❤❤❤
