  • The Clouser Minnow is a saltwater steamer pattern developed by Bob Clouser and is arguably the most useful saltwater fly on the planet. The Clouser Minnow has caught more saltwater fish than any other fly invented. The Clouser Minnow works not only on saltwater fish, but also on freshwater fish as well. Bass, Pike, and even trout can be caught on this versatile fly. This makes the Clouser Minnow a must have for any fly fisherman in both Salt and Freshwater!!

I like your instruction because it is so detailed. I am a beginner and have found it hard to locate videos that give a clear understanding of how a fly is created. Thanks.

I have watched almost all your videos (which are great btw) and it has really inspired me to go ahead and start tying my own flies as i have planned on for a while. What vice do you use? Better question would probably be what vice do you think I should get being a novice at best lol my only side note/limiting factor is price.
    Thanks for any help

I use a size 4 hook and 1/4” red dumbbell eyes. I like to make my flies properly proportionate. Just like with bead heads and hooks. Size does matter.
