Saw your vid on Reddit. I’m so glad to be in on the ground floor of your future successful channel. I want to be here when you get your silver, gold, and platinum play button plaques. I also love Ramen.
Eggses precious! Cool vid! never thought marinating an egg would be this easy. I used to just use an eggcooker and dump my softboiled egg in the broth (you know, the flavorpacketbroth from instant ramen) this is a gamechanger!
Keep doing your thing man. Everyone of your videos has been excellent and the information invaluable.
Thanks Jack! Got another one in the works for next week
Love your videos dude!
I love your plating! You make a meal look like art.
Thanks Jank!
your how to ramen series is a lifesaver. Its my friends birthday this weekend and he asked me to make him ramen. ive never made it from scratch but i wanted to make it properly as i have some culinary experience and making new things gets me excited. the chasu and shoyu base videos are amazingly helpful along with the tonkotsu video! i have just enough time to make it all!
Yooo you have to send me a picture!!
@@teikenramenchannel gladly :)
@@teikenramenchannel How do i send you a pic? i got a nice shot of it for you
Dm me on Instagram!
For anyone reading these comments, I have seen the bowl and ThatGuyScrub did an incredible job ❤️👏
Thanks for another great video. Interesting chicken fact, and a delicious looking recipe for the egg marination.
The eggs are awesome because they are consistently yummy and not complicated to make. I always get good feedback, they are an easy way to really elevate your bowl-especially if you are starting from pack ramen and just amping it up with toppings
@@teikenramenchannel Awesome and understandable to be sure.
you can prevent eggs from cracking while cooking by poking a hole in the center bottom of the egg with a pin! :)
Good technique
the best video on the topic ive seen. eager to try my eggs in a few days, though they did get a little brutalized during peeling. is the leftover marinade re-usable or should it just be thrown out do you think?
I would throw it out. The marinade draws out some moisture from the egg so it has a much faster expiration than just soy sauce and mirin
Great video, but 6 isn't enough. At least 2 dozen at a time.
Haha that’s fair
good video. A few things that can help ,egg punch the bottom of the eggs and gentle stir while cooking, Fishing string makes clean cuts
All good tips. I should make a new egg video 🤔
Are the eggs at room temperature when you put them into the boiling water? Or are they cold?
Cold. Refrigerator temp
isnt it the opposite? heavily overfed chicken with coloured food makes the yolk dark orange? and healthy living chicken laying eggs with yellow yolk?
A healthy chicken should not have eggs with yellow yolks. Proper nutrition leads to the deep orange color. At any rate, the most important thing is to try and get your eggs from a responsible source that does not tolerate cruel living conditions for the chickens
Can you reuse the liquid or do you have to throw it away?
You can reuse it but only 1 or 2 times in my opinion
Why don’t you poke a hole and release the air pocket on the larger side? Do that and spin it when it goes in and you get a perfectly oval egg. Everything else looks great.
I think it’s time consuming, and if you are slicing your egg it’s easy to obscure. Plus, sometimes poking that hole let’s a tiny bit of egg white out in the boiling water, which can easily cause your pot to boil over
@@teikenramenchannel I don’t disagree. But I travel the world consulting and I try Ramen in every state and country I go to. Seeing that perfectly oval egg is a big sign to me that the chef is going above and beyond to create that perfect bowl of ramen. Do you have a physical location I can visit? Really enjoying your content.
For now I’m just a home chef. But maybe one day! ☝️
Is 6.5minutes boiling room temperature or refrigerated egg?
Refrigerated
I almost feel like I know you. Your narrations are so personal sounding.
