Hey! Love you guys. Just wanted to point out though, that Adderall is actually an extremely common and accepted treatment for ADHD (which I've dealt with for my whole life). Adderall has changed my life for the better by calming down my brain and allowing me to feel like a normal person. The Take Your Pills documentary is pretty biased against medication, so I wouldn't take it completely at its word. Medication can be really useful and life-changing if taken responsibly. Unfortunately, the abuse of Adderall has made it harder for people with ADHD to obtain the medication easily.
Yup. Insurance basically denies anyone above 18 flat out because they still think people age out of ADHD, and there's so many hoops to jump through because people just assume you're abusing it. I was only on it for a month (it literally destroyed my body), but it can help immensely. The entire time I was taking it, I was like, "People take this to go to Saturn, but I take it, and it's slightly easier to remember to brush my teeth." Really obnoxious in a lot of ways.
