- Ordered me some Milwaukee M18 XC5.0 batteries to add to my collection because I have more Milwaukee construction tools now and was running out of batteries at times. Thought I got me a hell because these were offered as genuine Milwaukee batteries and the looked the parr ... but boy was I wrong. Then the eBay seller only wanted to refund only half the money so I had to start a case and that got resolved quickly by eBay thank god and got my full dollar amount back. So BUYER BEWARE and with this video I hope I can help someone not to fall for the same thing as I did.
So in this video I'm showing you what to look for and the differences between fake and real Milwaukee batteries

I just bought a Genuine Milwaukee 8.0 XC HD (not cheap) for use in my power head string trimmer.
I did perform quite well, BUT... I had trouble removing it. turns out the terminal with a Minus sign had melted the plastic (no damage on the tool). Using your tips, the buttons are redder than my original XC5.0 (~ Y2010 that came with the tool). The indents on the buttons match a set of known knock-offs, and are different from the originals.
As you pointed out: It was fully charged. What was different from yours, this package was button welded.
Mine said in the ad genuine Milwaukee batteries as well. They are getting really good at making them fake ones, it's just sad imo. I'm getting mine from a brick and mortar from here on out ... thank you for watching

I almost bought a fake JBL Bluetooth speaker off eBay unknowingly. I contacted eBay several times about the fake listings and eBay didn’t do a damn thing. eBay allowed the listings to stay up and other eBay customers bought the fake products while eBay sat there and allowed it
It's not right that's for sure. They'll end up shooting themselves in the foot. Only thing I can do is this and hope people see it but I'm just a little guy with a small platform ... thank you for watching Tim

Thats crazy with these fakes i have never bought off anybody besides lowes and home depot and have got amazing deals as well ,i have bought the knockoff ones off amazon from a great seller and those were amazing as well i would just rate then slightly lower than they put 7ah probably 5.5ah ish ,never have got gotten a full charged battery before over 50 battery i own from makita ryobi dewalt milwaukee of course from lowes and home depot ...

It is sad for sure and if they would be advertised as fakes / knock-offs that would be something else. And the performance on these fake ones is horrific my screw gun shuts off halfway running a screw down in a 2x4 LOL ... thank you for watching

I found this video after seeing fakes on eBay. The packaging says “EVERYTHING EITS” instead of FITS😂😂

I just checked all my batts, and they are real, but I also checked my local hardware stores, and genuine 5.0 Milwaukee batteries are $160 EACH ! No wonder people are buying knock-offs !
That is it right but the biggest problem these batteries I showed in the video are advertised as real genuine Milwaukee batteries and they are not they are fake. That is fake and misleading advertising imo ... thank you for watching

I know of one case Milwaukee turning down the warranty on one Milwaukee battery because it was fake.A Matco dealer in Mississippi sent in one for warranty and came back with the warranty turned down because of this.This one was purchased on Amazon

Amazon and scam bay have both Dewalt and Milwaukee batteries should be a crime it’s theft.

I was skeptic on buying power tools on ebay. A couple of years ago I bought a Milwaukee m12 detail polisher from a seller in Korea. The price was right so I bought it. I haven't used it yet but it looks legit. Lately i bought a few more tools from a seller in Canada. So far so good but i have seen cheap Milwaukee batteries on ebay and i can easily tell to stay away from them. I always watch for deals from the box stores like home depot. 👍
@@KenHrycyk I buy tools from eBay and never had issues till now but it was the first time buy batteries like that tho and in the description it clearly said genuine Milwaukee batteries lol

I just came home with a new 2967-20 and an M-18 charger kit from Home Depot. Total was 523.00@@CountryMileGarage
Im disapointed because i didnt get my free tool because i didnt buy it from Home Depot online. You only get the free tool if you have it shipped to your home. What a scam!
