I don't know what they got going on, but I'm betting the end of the nose is ground off is now about .100 thick. I bought them to peal my wheel bearing apart and stuff like that. I bought a similar parts washer from a tool store that was like Harbor Freight 30 years ago. It was blue with a red top. I put 10 gallons of Napa petroleum based parts cleaner in it. Never had an issue with the pump. I washed a lot of parts in it. Unfortunately the parts washer got wrecked when the neighbor's tree landed on our shed. I never had any faith in the water based parts cleaning solvents. The last time I priced a 5 gallon pail of solvent from Napa it was almost $200. I don't do a lot of heavy work anymore but need a cleaning tank occasionally. I picked up a 8 gallon Rubbermaid Action Packer bin at the dump. I'm going to use diesel fuel as a solvent. It should do the job for my needs.

    • @CountryMileGarage
