Omg! I didn't realize how many Cut Glass manufacturers there were! Absolutely stunning pieces! All beautiful pieces of Art Glass in my opinion! Thank you for your video!
Mike Macdonald Beautiful documentary. Thank you. Much deserved honor to glass cutters. Not enough acolades given to craftsmanship. Gorgeous pieces I am sharing this with many. Hope they will subscribe. I felt as if,I was eating with the families of the owners of each piece. Your music and glassware reminded me of the movie.Yentell. And so many movies,of familes working in factories. Beautiful history.
Im a Avid collector of ACG...Mostly Dorflinger and Clark....But have many items from other companies as well....I live in Honesdale,,,hence my interest, Thanks for posting!
I don't know anything about glass, but this was very nice. I am from New Jersey and my understanding is that New Jersey used to be a state in which there were a few glass factories. Now, from your video, I see that it was also a place in which glass was cut, too. I guess I should have realized that. I just purchased my first piece today. It is a glass pitcher with a plain handle that I am trying to identify. The bottom 2/3 rds is cut, the handle and top are not.
I 1st heard of cut glass from a Dave & Sugar song: "From cut glass to diamonds, up that ladder she's climbin', cryin' golden tears." A Google search led me to the website, which in turn led me to this vid.
