I own a 1.2 MPI Petrol but i can see a bit irregularity with my fuel guage as in it shows range of 60 km when its 1/4 or sometimes 90 when 1/4, please suggest whether its normal or i need to visit the service centre?
Hello Mr. Dilip..thanks for sharing ur ideas. Many of the things I came to know after watch ur videos. Recently i did buy a polo..I must say this car has a strong body if compared to other hatchbacks in Indian market.
Some other points you can add in new video: Always start the car 2-5 minutes (for petrol) 7-10min for diesel before driving . Always use premium petrol for 1 year atleast in a new car .thereafter use every 1 out of 4 times while filling tank. Coolant shoud be optimal ie in summers it gets reduced so keep it at optimal level and change after 5000 kms. I am not sure about new cars but STP injector cleaner helped me get good mileage and good engine peformance in my old zen car
Blower speed doesn't effect mileage. Because blower motors are powered by battery and not engine. Also if you keep temperature above 20 degrees then heating coil will ON automatically which takes more power from battery. So if AC is ON, then keep blower at any speed (high speed is preferably because it will cool cabin quickly and compressor need not work for more time) and keep temperature at 20 °C to get best mileage in any car
ravi mirigilla Thank you! It may save a little fuel. But as you will use your brakes at the end of the slope, your brakes will wear off soon. In a big slope, you have to use engine braking effect. you have to reduce the speed of the car by shifting down a gear without applying brakes.
ravi mirigilla keeping gear in neutral will not save fuel. it uses the amount of fuel required for idling the engine. whereas if u r in gear without using throttle and clutch released (engine braking) you are using zero fuel
Never keep vehical in neutral while coming down the inclined road Breaks gets worn out Also in some case vehicals engine shuts down by mistake or by any other way Then break and steering won't work

I am also having a VW Polo and I am getting 13-15 kmpl in City traffic [Pune, Maharashtra] and 18-22 kmpl on higways. Tips from my side - Always try and keep the Polo in as higher gear as possible. This will help you to run the engine at lower RPMs preventing high fuel consumption. Ideal conditions, Speed greater than 50kmph, your Polo should be in 5th Gear. Also, in any condition, don't revv too much and try to keep the RPM under 2000 for best results.

1. As you are a driving enthusiast, please get the Diesel variant. Don't even think of getting the petrol variant. 2. I strongly don't recommend both 1.0 l petrol or 1.2 l petrol to any driving enthusiast. 3. GT TSI is an awesome Choice. You can get it without second thought. It is definitely worth it.

You will wear out your clutch quicker . Leave the vehicle in gear and let it coast when you’re off the throttle the injectors aren’t supplied with fuel

+Kiran Peri That is absolutely normal... The bonnet is getting hot as it doesn't have any heat insulation... In diesel TDI variant, there is heat insulation for the bonnet... If you wish to get an insulation pad for your bonnet, you can do it from the VW dealer which costs about 4500 rupees. It also minimises engine noise & vibration that creeps into the cabin...

I also suggest to drive the car less than 2000 RPM and also increase the tire pressure to more then what is mentioned acid reduces the rolling effort of the tire i.e if it is suggested 30PSI for attire increases to 35 PSI will give more mileage. Also whenever there is a small hill aur a decline in the road surface put it in NEUTRAL and the car will roll WITHOUT MUCH EFFORT IN JUST 800 RPM ONLY
I got 25-32 kmpl in delhi local traffic on 35 km one side running and my polo diesel high line plus overall mileage is 23-24. For this i need to drive between 50--60 3rd and 4 gear in local.
gurpreet singh Sorry. in the VW user manual, an engine oil spec is mentioned which is not suitable for the quality of fuel we get in India. I have a brand new car and haven't used any VW cars before. I will enquire in the VW workshop when I go there and will update you soon.

Both Polo & Ameo are almost same... Only difference is the design. Get the car whichever design you personally like...

I got 25-32 kmpl in delhi local traffic on 35 km one side running and my polo diesel high line plus overall mileage is 23-24. For this i need to drive between 50--60 3rd and 4 gear in local.

gurpreet singh Sorry. in the VW user manual, an engine oil spec is mentioned which is not suitable for the quality of fuel we get in India. I have a brand new car and haven't used any VW cars before. I will enquire in the VW workshop when I go there and will update you soon.
