Got me a 2023 Mk8 and have been back and forth on doing something. This series may or may not push the meter one way or another. Came from the EA888.G3 engine with some mods and loved it so much. Looking forward to this.
Also have a mk8 R just did neuspeed rear sway and neuspeed front strut bar night and day difference in the turns next mod for me upgrade my intercooler and do unitronic discharge pipes and ligher wheels

034 stuff is real nice, intake and a flash are a great start to modding a mk8. Downpipe and intercooler are a lot better bang for your buck on mk8s, especially if you can go catless. Coil packs don't usually do much for you, best to stick with OEM really, dont buy APR, those will catch your engine cover on fire. I'd be getting a hood strut before a billet filter housing fr

Great video guys! I love the Golf content. I don't think upgraded ignition coils actually do anything since it's the ECU that sends the coils the ignition charge; and your OTS tune will send stock level ignition signals to the coils.
Hey man I noticed this when watching your S4 build that your thermo pneumatic valve and water pump is leaking coolant into your vacuum lines. If you look at bank 1 of your engine, there is a vacuum operated valve that actuates your water pump. That is where coolant leaks out of the vacuum system. Anyways it can cause underboost faults as those vacuum lines go to your boost actuator as well and causes the boost actuator to get stuck open or closed.
I love it! Please tell me you’re keeping the R. It was depressing to see the GTI go. Btw they make a gas strut for the hood that can make life a little easier.
i suggest you to put also an oil catch can kit on that engine, 034 does it. It will help lower the oil temp and keeping the engine and oil cleaner since the vapors should be expelled from the engine, intake return and cyl head
Wish you guys did the Mk7.5 Golf R - Barely any content with 034 Motorsports tunes online. I'm considering going 034 on my MK7.5 but seems they just concentrate on newer model cars or Audi S4 and higher in the model range.
Don't know in the MK8 but in the Mk7.5 you can clear the DSG memory and make it relearn. It's always recommended to force a relearn when buying a used DSG car so it can adapt to your driving habits. My car stock would shift at 2200 rpm after a relearn it now shifts at 2600. Did that for a month then flashed IE stage 1 high torque and then the DSG.
FYI , the reason I had enjoyed watching your channel previously was because I enjoy working on cars and the process of installing custom pieces step by step in detail (no matter how simple the installation is). Why did you skip most of the process throughout this video? It's as if you weren't into it and wanted to get it done as quickly as possible? Yes I know the 034 flash is fairly simple but its different from other companies. Watching someone elses car go from stock to custom is something that those of us who have to customize our cars slowly based on saving for each piece watch videos because its like we get to experience the upgrades right along side you. Hopefully, moving forward, we can still get the step by step evolution of whatever car you have decided to customize.

I could have done a better job communicating that if you want to see a detailed view of the process more checkout the S4 tuning videos when it was fresh to me Then factor in watch time and retention on RUclips. My videos reach more people if I make a video that keeps people’s attention. There’s certain patterns I’ve noticed fall off and this scenario in the video you’re speaking to is one of them. It’s a hard balance and decision to make sometimes

In my case in Utah hot Temps for me could affect my car by 30 to 40 horsepower. It comes down to how well you can cool the air going into the engine. I have a stock top mount on my speed3 so it gets heat soak quite a bit as a gen 1. Hope this helped

Cool video! Just to let you know after market coilpacks are dogshit on this platform. OEM ones are plenty good. Misfires are extremely common on all brands of the aftermarket ones that claim to be higher performing. All they are is colorful & cheap cheap quality
nothing is sick about the ecs catback. ecs is notorious for cheap parts and the quality of the parts. milltek offers the best exhausts and downpipes for the mk8 platform.

@@CameronAlfordI’m running 034 Stage 1 on my GTI. 034 has mentioned on an unflashable TCU, the stock TCU will cap your torque output to its limit. Essentially still “low torque” until we can flash them. But we get all the horsepower at least!

Excited for this series. Bought a 2019 golf r, as much as a mk8 sounded nice just couldn’t justify it costing the same as my individual bmw X3M cost.
Well each vehicle is for 2 different crowds.. I have an 8R and I’m not interested in an X3M. Just not a fan.
