It’s true genius to be arranging the sound equalization of the instruments while playing you have to already have that sound in your mind which he did💜
My god we were blessed 🙌 to have him as long as we did. People this is sound check. Again this is a sound check 😮 we will never see 👀 anything like prince 🤴 again #prince4ever7
For me, He just left Oakland after doing two shows on November 10-11 and I was fortunate enough to get tickets from Warner Bros. because I was in the music industry from 1987-91 and I had a lot connections with all 6 major record labels A&R/Distribution employees and was offered tickets to see this dude and he didn't disappoint me at all!!! #PrinceRogersNelsonTheeIcon
This is the stuff people should listen to when they just think of him as a pop artist, he was genre busting, could not be confined - many people would be surprised at his technical prowess in jazz, rock, blues, funk- his sound checks are genius - try the Strange Relationship rehearsals- to me this is even better that WMGGWeeps ❤
You'll notice what a masterful job HIS MUSICIANS are doing here to keep vision alive...often feel they weren't given enough credit...apart from mere 'shout outs'.

87-89 Prince at his peak and most interesting era imho. Played and collaborated with Miles and George, excellent aftershows, best and most original dancing choreographies, deep music, best tours, mystic spiritual image and music (Anna stesia or The Cross) etc etc Then with D&Ps it was terrible step following trends dull songs fillers too much artificial already seen choreography superficial attitude (gansterglam video just to name one) trying to please the general public silly hairstyles annoying Mayte dancing like a cheap girl annoying rapping Tony m etc etc
You're certainly entitled to your opinion, however, I would disagree with your analysis of the Prince period 87 - 89. The most brilliant aspect of Prince's music in totality was his need and want to grow and evolve. What's more, he fully understood that not all people would appreciate or understand that need and want to explore. If he was nothing, Prince was fearless and unafraid to set his own boundaries and never let others set them for him.
@@russelltaylor561 So you mean P was perfect and it’s the public who is wrong when we say GB movie was crap 😂 Ok Must be that I don’t get pope jughead push horny pony gansterglam etc 😂 But theyr are good as purple rain strange relationship WDC etc
@Cormac-jd2kx LOL... simply, you're entitled to your own viewpoint. I just respectfully disagree. My point is he didn't make music for the public. Otherwise, he would have stuck with the "Purple Rain " formula. Additionally, it's not that he's perfect. Rather, it's more that he made the music that [he] chose to make. It was not in his nature to stand pat for commercial success like some expected. So, there is a specific era of his music that YOU don't like.... and my further point is that he would have been okay with it... Whatever your feelings are about the particular songs you mentioned, it still doesn't diminish his genius.
While they are releasing Super Deluxe boxsets, the Prince Estate should release a box set of soundchecks and accompanying videos.
yesss!!!
they could b makin so much money off of rehearsal footage, & behind-the-scenes footage alone..
@@dee1380 yes sir, I agree with you. Maybe, they will listen to you.

There will never be another like Prince! He was under rated. Michael was over rated!
like prince said
michael was magic
michael jackson named his son after prince…. out of all the names in the world, he named him
prince michael jackson
Simply this: Prince broke the mold. Micheal was groomed and groomed others.

Here's hoping well get more of these like all those purple rain sndcks
This for all the haters who say he cannot play guitar.
Best Prince era, best musical formula.
Too bad he changed his way for more pop.
After Lovesexy, the golden years were over.
Try The Rainbow Children - spiritual successor to Lovesexy IMHO
I know : very good music, but shitty religious propaganda lyrics.
Musicaly, nothing to see with lovesexy in my opinion.@@pietdebeer7972
Absolutely
bang on 200%
His Golden Years were 1978 - 2016
Agree
1st ave box set 1981-2007
Prince estate needs to release this kinda stuff instead of the same albums we already have. Whack ass prior in charge are lame
Whenever he play his guitar like this i think of sly and the family stone Sex Machine
You know about that Sly Stone Sex Machine too. Man I wish he would have did a version of that. I know he would had kill it as he always do.
