Loved your video so informative. You’re so gorgeous! I do get stuck in a rut with foundation I adore the NARS too and can’t stand a thick foundation. I’m enjoying the super cheap Wet n Wild Dewy one right now too it’s actually pretty surprisingly good😅
Ah thank you so much, Sally! 🥰 It’s so funny that you say that, I’ve recently been testing the Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator and I’m in love with it! So amazing and for the price - you really can’t go wrong! Thank you so much for sharing! 💗
Hi Carmel! Loving the content you're providing. All the foundations look lovely on. I can see why Nars is your holy grail. Interesting you compared it to the L'oreal True match! Is that just in terms of how it dried down to a powder? Xx
Hey Jillian, thank you so much - I really appreciate you watching! 🥰 So I actually think the foundations (L’Oreal & Nars) have a very similar finish; both luminous and both slightly powder down. However I do find the Nars to have a little more coverage & is slightly more hydrating- but both last just as well! I truly love them both and you honestly can’t go wrong with either of them 💜 Xx
The Nars really is otherworldly on you! I have normal to oily skin that can be dehydrated and sensitive, acne-prone too! 🙃I'm on a low-buy this year and want to be very picky with what I purchase because I am a bit tired of having to mix so many foundations especially to make them work. (I have muted warm olive skin like you as well but mine is light olive). I have the Hourglass on my list but I find their lighter shades to be too saturated yellow, peach or pink. We shall see! Your videos are helpful to me even though we have different skin types ✨
Ah thanks for such a lovely comment, I’m so happy that the videos are still helpful ☺️ I totally understand! Our skin is complex for sure and having to mix foundations is beyond frustrating…and expensive 😩 Do you ever use an exfoliating toner before makeup? I always start my prep with one and they can really help to remove excess oils & minimise/clear pores. Using a toner & a serum before foundation has honestly been a game changer for me 🥰
@@CarmelNicoleBeauty yes exactly! My rule this year is to not buy a foundation I think I will have to make work in some way (usually shade wise). I usually use an exfoliating toner at night but Ill have to try in the morning. I swear by regular dermaplaning and I am getting my winter skincare routine together after living in a tropical, humid climate for a few years. All these factors led me to have SO many foundations and yet none of them felt like they were really "the one". I had something like 70 foundations that either broke me out, made my skin irritated, slid right off, looked cakey, or was a moisturizing formula for the wintertime but too dark or a long-wearing formula for the summer but too light, too peachy, etc.... I'm slowly getting closer to breakthrough though lol I only want to own a handful of foundations in future 💖
@@AngelissimaASMR Oh man, that is really frustrating 😕 And when you throw Olive skin into the mix, it’s just another hurdle! I totally get it - I’ve struggled for years! Don’t worry, the perfect one will be out there somewhere. You’re absolutely beautiful, so whatever you’re using is working perfectly! 🥰 I really, really want to try Dermaplaning! I can only imagine how amazing the benefits are. I’ll let you know if I ever get brave enough to do it 🙃😂
@@CarmelNicoleBeauty I dermaplane my face fortnightly. I feel my skin absorbs my serum and moisturiser more efficiently. It also helps exfoliate my skin which I feel makes my skin look less dull. It's also true what they say that the hair doesn't grow back courser or darker and no stubble 😘 xx
@@jillianpurdy2542 That’s great to know Jillian, thank you so much for sharing! The benefit of skincare absorption is my number 1 reason in wanting to get it done- so think I’ll get myself booked in! 🩷
Haha, this made me laugh 😂 It’s hard to choose, right?! Well they’re all permanent foundations, so no need to rush out and buy! And don’t ever pay full price for anything- never settle for anything less than a 20% discount code! 😏
Happy new year carmel, thank you for sharing , look foward to seeing the skin prep which would be great, and maybe if you are able to do a video on how to shape eyebrows that would great. Take care carmel😊❤❤
Happy new year, Nada! 💗 Now are you sure you want a brow video from me…mine are literally the worst on the planet 😂 But I’ll definitely put it on my video list 🥰 Thanks so much for watching, lovely!
I like all these too .. I just got the new elf cc hydrating cream and am really liking it too… which I had no expectations for at all .. but u would probably like it too😃
Hey Donna! So glad you love them too ☺️ I also really love the new Elf CC cream! I also had no expectations for it because I didn’t like their first one. It’s great that there are so many great foundations to choose from out there! 🥰
Have you tried Missha Signature Complete BB Cream? It also self adjusts to your skin tone. Hydrated, dewy finish. Skin loving ingredients. I highly recommend it! A little goes a long way too!

Lawds, I wish that Haus Labs foundation was more affordable! Might have to save up for it! It makes your skin look like glass!
Ok..no.
I need the Nars.

Yissssss! For high end, I nearly always solely buy on sale! Great advice!

Oh I just love it, it’s so flattering! And for the price…as good as any high end! 💕
No I haven’t, but just found it online! 😆 it has amazing reviews! What colour do you use, I wasn’t sure with the swatches?
Aw, thank you so much Jessica - that means the world to me! 🥹 I’m so thankful that you take the time to watch 🥰🩷
