Visually your videos are great, but lose the music. Most of us watching are motorcyclists and we want to hear the engine and the sound of the suspension working. The music is off-putting and clashes with the beauty of your videos. Of course, it's your video. You can do what you want. Very nice videography of wonderful scenery otherwise. Still, I watched some of episode 3 and most of episode 4, but I'm done.

Thanks John. I'm a musician and a rider. For me the music just really makes it and ties it all together. But really appreciate the feedback. Ride on John.

@@localrouteadv Understood. Thanks for not taking my comments ill. Not intended as such, just not for me, mostly. Lovely camera work, though.

@@johnseidel8971 not at all. I actually thought about it more later on and it made me realize I do need to make sure the music actually makes it better and not a crutch to make it easy to edit. I've only made a handful of these videos, I'm still learning so much, and the best input is sometimes critical. Thanks again

I was there first two weeks of September. Colorado wasn't too bad. Lows in the 40's mostly. That night I was cold mainly because I was out in the open I think. And I didn't eat enough food. Utah desert was cold at night. Lows and 30.

I plan on riding the Moki Dugway this year and man I can't wait. What a great ride and thanks for sharing. I will definitely be exploring the surrounding area as well. Maybe even a section or 2 of the BDR. I just got a '23 KTM 1290 SA-R and really looking forward to a little more off road capability than my '22 Africa Twin. I did the NMBDR last year on the AT and while the bike handled great, It is pretty boring on the hardball.

Man great video. Well done, you do a good job of pacing when it comes to the edit process. A lot of people make videos like this and put a bunch of extra stuff that doesn't need to be there. You do a good job of keeping it simple in a good way. My only piece of constructive feedback, I would take out the black screen that says "the next day". I'd argue that it isn't necessary, especially if you just cut from the clip of you in the motel room, to you leaving the parking lot. If you really want to you could just put it in corner while still having the next footage play. Up to you though.
Based on your other replies to comments, I see you're new to it but honestly I think it's pretty good. I watch probably too many motorcycle videos, even from small creators like yourself and you did a good job. Will be subscribing and checking out your other episodes from this series. Also you have my respect for doing it solo. Again, great work.

Thanks Michael. I really appreciate the feedback. Thanks for noticing the simplicity. It's something I appreciate in videos I watch as well. Good call on the black screen. That was the first video I ever made that wasn't book ended by waking up at camp and getting to the next camp. That was a quick decision. Now that I'm getting views for the first time, I'm going to spend a little more time producing and editing. Really appreciate the feedback. Thanks for checking out the channel.

Hey! Great ride. Where in Ohio are you from? I'm in Southeast Ohio and looking forward to riding out West off road. I've ridden to Moad and Vegas on my street rig, but crave the off-road Western U.S.

    • @localrouteadv

South Central Ohio. About an hour from Cincinnati. I love all forms of motorcycle riding. But street rigs only get you so far. Off that beaten path is where I have the best time. Lots of good gravel and dirt in your area as well. I never knew the hidden gems in Ohio Kentucky and West Virginia until I got an adventure bike. I highly advise getting one. Thanks for the compliment. Maybe we will cross paths Someday.

I installed Fork Sox on my KTM 790 R forks. Never had a smidgen of oil come out of the forks. Ridden all of the roads and trails you have been on with no problems.

    • @localrouteadv

This one was my fault, I forgot to clean the tubes off the day before and some dried dirt got in the seal. Luckily it did clean out. I ran the fork socks on my dirt bikes for a decade and in a race a small rock got trapped in the sock and ruined a fork tube. I'm sure it was a fluke, but Since then I always clean them before every ride. Just forgot. Thanks for the tip. Ride on Harry.

I've rode, Colorado, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, Arizona, Utah on a cfr250l. Just upgraded to a ktm 690 enduro r, can't wait to do it all over again. Southern Indiana has nothing on the western states. Make sure you hit the million dollar hwy in Colorado next time through. It's slab but damn it is pretty. Great video

I hear you. lots of good riding in southern Ohio, but the vastness of the west is almost overwhelming. I did hit the Million dollar highway through the red mountains but only a few miles. Definately need to see more. Can't wait to go back.

I hit a deer there once! Totaled my Harley, was coming through a blind corner just south of Oray through what the locals called Red Mountain Pass. Was all fine and dandy, now I ride a '18 Africa Twin. Wouldn't have it any different. 690 enduro must be a real treat!
