Michael Jordan & Joe Dumars rivalry

  • A real competitive duel that basically spanned both Jordan’s & Dumar’s careers. From the days when the Bad Boys were beating up Jordan as a “Jordan Rule “ , & two titles in three appearances, to when Jordan was leading the Bulls to Back to back three peats. Both within the same Division as well made for even more already competitive & physical games. So many players, stories, and legacies were made through their time playing one another with their respective teams. Both played vital parts in each others development as clearly shown here.

It's sad that there are so few current players in the NBA who actually make a legitimate effort to play defense.. And look at THE MONEY these guys make!! That in itself is a MORAL CRIME.. Yet Joe’s team is the only one that sent Jordan and the Bulls home from the playoffs not one, not two but THREE times in a row. There was most definitely a rivalry, as the Pistons proved to Jordan that he could not win a title playing isoball.

I've seen this so many times from other videos, But the one thing that is glaring to me is the end of this video showing the clip of MJ congratulating Joe Dumars when they beat the Bulls in the ECF. The next thought that comes to mind is Isaiah Thomas slinking off the court like the snake he is and not showing sportsmanship. Ever since that sweep by the Bulls, the Pistons went downhill with him as the captain of that ship.

What you don't mention is the day before that game Jordan told the press that the “The Pistons are undeserving champions” & "bad for basketball." Who the hell would shake his hand after he said that? Jordan never ran his mouth when the Pistons were kicking his ass but as soon as age and and Thomas's injury finally gave the Bulls the edge Jordan started talking shit. Jordan's a punk ass bitch.

    • @artmeddaugh6669

Why would Isiah and Laimbeer, the Leaders of the Bad Boys, shake Jordan's hand after the game? Jordan is quoted in the
newspapers before the game that Detroit isn't good for basketball, that Detroit aren't good champions, that it will be good
when they are gone. Jordan's the one who made the beef public, not Isiah.
Detroit carved out an identity unique to them. They beat you physically and mentally. They had all the ups and down a team
could have from 87' thru 91'. They suffered heartbreaking losses and still came back more determined than ever. Isiah was
the unquestioned leader of that team in the locker room and on the floor. He wanted to win Championships, and in order to
do that he prepared that team to beat Boston, beat Chicago, beat LA, beat any other opponent who stood in the way.
There is a price to pay in order to reach the pinnacle, and Detroit did.
Most of the Boston Celtics starters walked off the floor with time remaining in game 6 of the ECF when Detroit beat them,
nobody from Detroit ever complains about that. It's funny that because it happened to MJ and the Bulls people get all caught
up in the fuss. They didn't like each other and that's the bottom line.

Hahahah Joe Dumars is Michael Jordan’s rivalry????? Joe is a bum compared to the all stars of today… look at his stats!!! Lebron would average 85 pts every time he played against Joe Dumars.

    • @josephweston3414
      @josephweston3414 2 года назад +1

Jordan did average 85 so no LeBron wouldn't. First time LeBron drives in the paint Bill Lambeer puts him on his ass. LeBron cries that is not a basketball play. Then LeBron quits on his team because they aren't good enough. Then LeBron fakes an injury or just sits out for rest.

You just mastered the art of telling us all that you know nothing about basketball without actually saying it. Jordan always had nothing but great things to say about Dumars, especially about his defense. Reggie Miller has also talked about how tough of an opponent Dumars was. I'll gladly take their opinions over yours. In the modern game Dumars would be a slightly better version of Jrue Holiday.
