  • Isiah Thomas explains to Draymond Green that he never suspected Michael Jordan was the reason he got left off the Dream Team and when he found that out watching ‘The Last Dance,’ he was shocked. He then goes on to explain that his relationship with MJ is not salvageable unless he gets a public apology.

@@twhite3850no denying his greatness and achievements, but sadly, no one is talking about that. When's the last time you seen a video about his greatness? I think he's one of the greatest point guards EVER. Why has every video he's been in has been somehow tethered to MJ? Why don't we see videos about him dropping 18 in a qtr with a broken ankle? It's because he doesn't get his proper recognition for those things. Why would Draymond discuss MJ instead of his great achievements? No one talks about him or wants to talk about him and his obvious greatness. That's why we're discussing this right now instead of his greatness. Growing up, Zeke and JoeD were my favorite players. I loved the Pistons. But this revisionist history has to stop. Zeke was the gatekeeper in Chicago. When MJ first got there, Zeke made it easy for him to assimilate into the city. But when the city started to turn on Zeke and MJ became Chicago, he hated that and began to treat MJ in such a way as to sever the relationship. Then when they walked off the court without acknowledging the Bulls, it was completely over. The way the public viewed Zeke was never the same. And remember, Zeke's head coach was the coach of the dream team. He even said it wasn't MJ that kept him off the team. It was Pippen, Malone, and Barkley.
And by the way, Zeke is a ass hole. But that's what made him and those Piston teams so great. But they are the only dynastic team (EC Finals, EC Finals, Finals, Finals win, Finals win, EC Finals lost to Bulls) that isn't treated as one. And it was because of the attitude and overall disrespect for the league and other players in it.

I agree 100%. A lot of these fans and analysts today don't understand this feud. I grew up in Chicago in the 70's, 80's and 90's. Isiah was so jealous that Jordan was the face of Chicago basketball in his hometown. You had to have lived in Chicago during those times to understand the rivalry. This can't be explained. You won't understand it just watching documentaries or listening to these players tell the stories. You had to be there to understand it. Notice how Jordan never really talks about it? I'll give credit to Isiah....I believe he is the best point guard/ball handler ever with Jerry West behind him. I would choose Isiah Thomas over any point guard today. But, he's still a piece of sh*t, dirty player and Chicago will never forgive him.

Isaiah Thomas would like for people that think that it was Michael Jordan who didn't allow him on a dream team but Isaiah Thomas said a bad example for all our youngs when the bulls finally got passed to Detroit Pistons and he didn't even have the respect enough to go and shake Jordan's hand for the bull. Any other boys hands and say congratulations for beaten us. He said like a little kid walked off the court not that was disrespectful. You only had two players from the piston to shake his hand. So Isaiah you get what you deserve. You want to be disrespected and even though you feel it was Michael and even if it was Michael you got what you deserve

MJ became the GOAT because of a combination of work ethic, competitive drive, athleticism and God-given physical attributes. But that don't mean he ain't human and can't do no wrong. He burned a lot of bridges in his lifetime like with Charles Barkley and of course he never liked Isiah Thomas. They both don't like each other and it's gonna stay that way forever.

Isiah is an all time great, but he needs to give it up. MJ don't care about him. And if you read and have heard everything that's been said over the years, a LOT of those guys didn't like Isiah. Right or wrong. I was a big NBA fan during those years and other teams HATED the pistons. There is no team around today that even compares. ALL the other teams and fans HATED the Pistons and by extension, Isiah. Bird, Malone (at the time), MJ and even Magic (at the time) didn't like Isiah. Again, not saying it's right or wrong, making no judgment. But it's the facts. All true NBA fans KNOW he SHOULD have been on the team, that's why it still comes up to this day... but Zeke needs to just give it up when it comes to that in MJ

To the ones down talking Isiah Thomas , as long as i'm alive, i'll always mention his name on Madison street in Chicago , i use to go to tournament's , with Isiah T and M Aquirre, playing on court in our City, it was like , they were just playing around, making it look easy, against older than them, and to end this , Isiah and yourself, come from the same area, i didn't root against him, he's a little older than me, when he was drafted, as a grown man, he had a teen look, but he would eat you up, with nothing about respect to the little guards( A Iverson) who was tough as nails, but Isiah, come the toughest little guard i've seen, if people say M Johnson i #1 point ever, i don't argue with people, i what this, when he was playing, and i'll say it now, with us being in the 60 range now,i didn't see nothing the great M Johnson did , that Isiah could'nt, but see over opponents, because he's 6'9 and Isiah is about 6'1, i love what in did, on the court, and i like D Green, he's from Detroit, and he plays like it, it's in his blood.

Michael Jordan will never apologize to Isaiah Thomas, in fact he has no reason to as far as I see it! When the Chicago Bulls defeated the Detroit Pistons with Isaiah Thomas in the playoffs in 1991, and went on to defeat the Lakers in the 1991 NBA Championship. Well after Chicago beat Detroit immediately after the game instead of showing sportsmanship to Michael and the Bulls Isaiah ran straight to the locker room with some other Piston players. That move sealed Isaiah Thomas fate in not being chosen to play with the Dream team in the 1992 Olympics. I will say Isaiah should’ve been on the team based on his skill set, but I understand why he didn’t make and I totally agree with the decision. Isaiah and the Piston only won because they started playing football, they was trying to hurt players. Joe Dumas, and Vinny Johnson played the game correctly and the rest was haters and really was trying to injure players. Isaiah needs to get over it, he made this bed and now he has to lay in it.
