This experience at Dollywood shaped my life...I will never forget heart song. this is fucking brilliant and will always be a Dollywood tradition...wish they still had a 'real-life' apple jack
When this first opened it was amazing! The smell of apple pie and flowers, the autumn leaves fluttering down into the theater, the smell of pine. The bubbles floating around, the butterflies, "Applejack" playing the banjo along with the band on screen. The splash of water when the boy jumped into the creek and of course the thunderstorm where it actually rained in the theater.
Thanks for sharing all the stuff that was included in the show originally, RJ Holcomb. :) I saw this twice at Dollywood recently, and one of the two times Applejack came out and played with the on-screen band, the other time he did not. They do still have the wind and the rain effects at different times..
This movie/ film makes me cry becuase my grandma loved her bad looked just like her. She was the sweetest women I’ve ever met but unfortunately she’s gone but I can always come back to this and remember all the memerirs with her
Of all the attractions this one will always bring me home...living up north ain't home...The mountains of the blue smoke...that's home and will always be ❤...
I visited Dollywood 3 months ago and was so impressed by this movie! No idea it was made 30 years ago. Dolly and the Smoky Mountain are just as beautiful as ever!
Thank u for uploading this... last time I seen this was in the 90s and it had the effects...it was truly amazing and felt just like home. I'm just 7 miles from the Tennessee border I'm in Ky i was just a kid but u could still feel the country love on the inside
Thank you for uploading. The park treats this in such a disappointing manner. Much of the time it’s replaced with something else and yet it’s the Heart of the park!
What a Wonderful Aunt one of the Best That one Could ask for.I love her so much and I will until Die.Even then I'll just be gone with our Heavenly Father. You Dolly are one of a kind .Thank You from the bottom of my Heart for what you done for me.I'll never forget all the fun time's we had.The memories will always be there.I love Carl and I love you .I pray that You both are doing great. With all my love.I'll always love you!!! God Bless you and your family. 😇😘🥰
This is seriously one of the best shows at Dollywood. The film is so colorful.

I felt a few "raindrops" toward the end. I didn't know to look for extra stuff like that. I'll have to sniff around next time I go. Lol
Unfortunately it doesn't look like they use the smells or bubbles/leaves anymore.

And the butterflies ☹️

I’ll never see a thunderstorm the same again. Anytime it thunders and rains I’ll always think of He’s Alive

I never miss watching this while at Dolly Wood. To bad they don't use all the special effects like they used to.
THE LEEAVES
Just saw it tonight and they used quite a bit
My dad always wanted to go see it,when we was at Dolly Wood, and ever time I hear it,I cry like a baby

Agree!! Just went Saturday and they only had the lightning and rain. No falling leafs! I miss that too!

Agreed...I love dollywood
