Hey Jane!! Thanks for sharing. I just attended the DC Pen show. It was my 2nd time. I am glad I cleaned out my Lamy 2000 beforehand to get nib work done… that is a good tip to take just one pen and swap out nibs. I did buy a few makers pens from Carolina Pen Co and Zodiac pen Co. it was soooo much fun.
@@darlenewashington9570 both excellent pen makers (have many), for me it’s about lightning the load, hopefully not losing anything, another tip I didn’t mention is: being a few paper towels so you don’t get a lot of ink on your fingers when changing nibs.
I'm so excited for you Jane, you are going to have a lot of fun at the pen shows this year! Its great that you have made a list, I think I would have to do that too otherwise I could easily get sidetracked by all the shiny new things and end up with other stuff, forgetting about what I really wanted LOL ;)
@@jppenandink my lists (more than 1 closer to 3) if something isn’t there or out of price range. I have others. I do google a lot of the pens on my lists,
Thanks for sharing. It is always interesting for me to hear about how different people approach prep such as this. Saw that you had on your list under twsbi the "580 Diamine" and am curious what that is. I havent heard of it.
580 diamond, I was figuring out what Diamine inks to use for this month 😬 We all have a different approach, all are correct, it’s what works for the person.
i understand and that defenitely has happened to me before. thank you for the quick answer. i agree and i love learning other peoples process to get inspired for mine.
I can't wait for the show. It's going to be my first
They’re a lot of fun! Taking any classes? Hopefully we’ll see each other.
