This is the best car I have seen on here! Factory rims caps beauty rings... just amazing! Looks completely stock! And that engine is a bad ass beast! Props to the owner for keeping it clean!
My Uncle purchased new a 1969 302 Z28. It was awesome!
Solid lift 4 spd.
I was just little but I loved it!
Gorgeous classic, I love the stock look, badass sleeper!
I want one. That motor sounds really sweet.
Sensational work... credit to you and your guy's Tom...
As far as the intake is concerned, it's not a "winchester" manifold, nor a "weiand" manifold. It's a Winters manifold. Winters was an aluminum foundry that made intakes for GM in the 60's and 70's. It is easily identified by the "snowflake" cast into the intake shown earlier in the vid. Awesome car though!
Thank you! I was thinking I was crazy for a second
You're exactly right, never no Winchester manifold offered for a Chevy engine
Been a FORD freak all my life but I have lots of respect for the DZ 302. Back in the mid 70's, when we were riding bicycles in the neighborhood, my friends brother would drive by in a DZ 302 Z28 looking exactly like this one, color included. Did I mention the cloud of smoke and the smell of rubber as he passed? ;-)
I had one of these. The exact color in and out. DZ 302. The fastest thing I ever owned. Sold it in 1975 for $1,700.00. If I only knew!
looks just like my RSS under the hood, but that sound!!and that response!..mind blowing!.never get tired of watching NRE road tests!..where's my bank managers ph no!! :-D
GREAT sounding car.
The sound at idle is bad ass
I'll be right behind you!
i love his reaction to the prius. i do the same thing everytime i see one too..HAMMER DOWN!!
I wonder how much raising the front ride height a touch would help put some weight on those rear tires and help traction. Looks like she really over powers those drag oriented radials.
I've always owned mopar muscle in the past, but in thinking about getting back into an oldschool strip/street machine, I'm considering a '69 Camaro build, though likely Rat powered.
@ BIGJACKTURBO & Nelson Racing Engines: For this Visual Exploitation of this DZ 302 [427], this motor rips 900 times better than the "Original Equipment Manufactured". Pray to GOD that this Owner does not ride on his clutch or it's going slip till the individual buys another Competition Clutch that will match the Output of the Present Day Motor that you have Built.
That is one sweet sounding motor!
I wonder if they reinforced the frame? Also I hope it's not 4 speed. GREAT CAR
Maybe a aftermarket block, something like a Dart block, I've been in the engine building for over 20 years and yet to see a factory gm small block that can be built over a 406ci stroker. I would love to know the bottom end specs to this build.
I sure would love to know what mufflers Nelson is running on this 427 camaro. they sound super nice.
That is one nasty bad smallblock. Who that said smallblocks dont run as good as bigblocks. Way to go nelson racing engines. Now I know where to get the 1000 hp out of my smallblock chevy.
I recognized that neighborhood....northridge!
by the winnetka theaters
@YungJosh50 they already have the most radical cams you can make im sure.
It's not a Winchester manifold' it was a wieand manifold. Awesome job though guys
It is a camaro. The only car in the world that will forever take me back to a time and place when EVERYTHING was new fresh, exciting, a challenge and LAUGHTER CAME SO EASILY. I LOVED THAT CAR, CRUISIN BECAUSE MY BEST FRIEND , HER BROTHER, HER HUSBAND ♢and owner of that green machine that Paul pucked in♢SAID WE SHOULD. SO WE DID, SLOE GIN AND ALL. Still love the cars. NEVER TOUCH SLOE GIN!!! 43 years later still love and talk to the friends. THANKS FOR THE MEMORIES JB
i love how he just blows past that POS Prius @ 6:30ish
That is unreal. It looks stock, yet would destroy almost any street car out there. That is an evil sleeper!
Orgasmic sounding !
how much more power would your motors make if they had more radical cams?
Any projects coming up with the Ford Raptor?
I need one of these to replace my 302 in my Bronco..!
How do you get 427 ci in a small block 302 engine or infact any factory gm small block V8. The max I could get was 406 ci
1750 hp, not sure what it couldn't beat!
@YungJosh50 I wanna say his motors make plenty of horses already
whats your biggest most powerful nasty engine?
wasn't the intake a winters
My 69 stock intake was a winters. Look for the little snow flake emblem cast into the intake
Love smarks.
6:30 ....that Prius hahaha lmao !!
Thats exactly how i want to build my 69 to look and run only i dont care if it looks non factory underhood and im probably going big block
What kind of HP are these motors putting out?
How many HP in that Camaro?
probably one of his other cars???
Perfect for pizza delivery.
question: when are you NOT spinning tires!?!? LOL. KICK ASS MOTORS NRE!!!!!!!!
@ Jonathan Turner, sbc = [Small Block Chevy ~ Motor]
Just NASTY!
at 6:35 EAT that stupid prius!!!!!! chevy power
Haha yeah that's probably ALL it could get beat by, is another NRE car.
